36:04 The speaker said the Atlantic slave trade existed because a government thought it could make money. The Atlantic slave trade actually wasn't conducted by any specific government. It was conducted by non government entities. Otherwise good lecture.

I Apologized with what I'm going to say but being a professor teacher doesn't make you a knowledgeable person from all histories, and topics of the earth situations, worst trying to go also to philosophy.
Even i had an Old teacher in history with 3 PhDs don't dare, because the many points of views.

State Of Nature. Lord Of The Flies. The Sovereign is the parents the citizens are the children. Children should obey the rules of their parents without question. Children , citizens should submit themselves to the government. It is my understanding that Hobbes preferred a monarchy to a democracy. Democracies produce factions. Factions evolve in civil war. Example the English civil. The American Civil War. A war over property? I have been told that our first sovereign warned against political-paries. The regional North vs South factionalism. . I think Hobbes would have preferred slavery. 🤔😎

"unique" = one of a kind. How can something be "very" unique?
