I just finished reading Gospel Matthew yesterday and all of sudden I remembered Owl city after long time. Searched him and glad to find him here. Thanks to comments section where I learnt many could relate this song to the verse
yeah it is really personal but i personally think cinematic is a little bit more personal. adam tells a bunch of stories and personal anecdotes throughout the album and it's pretty much the recurrent theme of the album (besides that of cinematic where your life is a movie and you're the main character cuz you're important and all that) coco moon is still really personal, there are some stories that i feel are really deep in adam's life, so it's like cinematic is more of an album of personal stories that aren't necessarily deep or tragic, just a bunch of anecdotes that helps you know more about adam's life, and coco moon has less anecdotes and stuff but it has deep songs that i feel are really attached to adam's personal life even if some of them aren't told by his own perspective. for example there's adam, check please which is literally a cinematic's song no clue how it is here when it can pass like a cinematic's song, but then we have under the circus lights which is a personal anecdote of his, but then we have the tornado, the meadow lark, and so on which are stories but doesn't feel like anecdotes, but rather songs that are way too personal and deep of his life even when they're not anecdotes, wether they're struggles in his life his portraying this way, or own personal stories he's sharing implicitly, which i personally appreciate and love
Sometimes when I feel sad, or alone, I will listen to your songs. Something about your songs actually makes me feel much better, and even gives me hope. God bless you.

I tried to understand this song for a long while. I just realized the meaning for me in a sermon by Ron Carpenter not knowing this all scripture! His sermon was about marriage: Finding treasure, and deciding to purchase the whole field. (Finding someone worth marrying) Understanding that excavating the dirt, is part of the process; to find more priceless treasure in the person you chose! For both of you. Love it ❤️👏🙏🏼
That's actually not the primary meaning of the parable. The meaning is about how the treasure of Heaven, how salvation through Christ alone, is worth giving up every earthly possession for. Just as someone might sell everything they own to procure a great earthly treasure, one should be much more willing to give up everything for the eternal love of God.

LIGHT fiend notes song : we where heading on home diesel and me down. an old gravel road way out in the country tuckered out after working the fields all day when all of a sudden of like a shot that dog took of running barking his head off wherever he went he went like there was hell to pay so lickety-split i crashed through the fields chasing after that hound and i was hot on his heels when we both went over the edge of a deep ravine as i crawled up the bank cold and soaked to the bone a glint caught my eye from the mud where it shone something was buried there alongside a stream now the middle of a field is a pretty odd place to find someking of trunk or a chest or a crate but buried under the earth i saw a corner exposed no there wasn't a map or a note or a key it was clearly forgotten just waiting for me like i was supposed to find it there right under my nose it had laid there for years deep in the dirt so i dug it out and wiped my hands sun my shirt i pried up the lid and excitedly peered inside and what i saw was a sight to behold cuz that tattered old trunk was crammed full of gold my eyes bugged out it was enough to make a grown man cry big golden bricks with a shimmery sheen they were a staggering dight to a poor bot like me but right then and there i knew what i had to do
