- A monsoon trough has brought the highest rainfall in seven years to parts of Darwin.
More than 150 millimetres of rain fell in a 24 hour period - flooding roads and cutting off some northern suburbs during the morning commute.
The monsoon trough is interacting with a low pressure system causing the torrential rain.
The Bureau of Meteorology says there's a chance the low could develop into a tropical cyclone during the week
A flood risk warning has been issued for the north and northwest of the Top End.

First, you must realize that you have sinned against God and need to be forgiven and saved from hell if you haven’t been already. In conclusion, just believe that all your sins are paid for by Jesus’ atoning work and make Christ your only hope of going to Heaven apart from your good deeds.

@@Blackjack_Official who’s they’re? It can’t be the BOM who is being sued by farmers for being completely wrong about future weather forecasts. You’re obviously not Australian as the top end has its rainy monsoon weather EVERY YEAR.

Heavy rainfall in a tropical zone, tomorrow there will be warnings of high humid temps, followed by a hot dry spell. It's called weather.
