hi, my name is darius and i'm a musician based in singapore. I love guitars, effects pedals, and staring blankly at my shoes. I'm trying to get a grip on life but the only thing I know how to grip on to is the tremolo bar on my jazzmaster, so here I am making videos on youtube of me doing that.

Can you please give little tricks about recording? I mean how did you record this? Through Katana with a mic or REC/OUT? how? thanks.
Hi, I recorded this video using the direct out of the Katana. However, I've recently switched to micing my amps. The direct out from the Katana sounds great tho!
@@dariusoon thank you so much! Let me get it clear; so you recorded this through “line out” of the Katana into the di of your audio interface? Did i get it right? And what mic r u using now? One last thing :) can you share this patch?
@@killnoni5032 Yeap you are right! I'm now using a Sennheiser E609.
Unfortunately I don't have a patch for this. It was just the clean channel, and I used pedals for the rest of the sound.

How do you know when to alternate pick?
Hi, I honestly don't really know when to. I think its just a case of developing the technique well enough that you can use it when its comfortable!
Fantastic cover. Just curious if you can tell us which pedals you're using in each section? For example, how do you use the compressor pedal and do you stack it with distortion?
Hi! My compressor is running all the time, I just use it to even out dynamics and also as a slight boost + EQ to shape my clean tone before it runs into the drive pedals.
As for what I'm using at each sections, it's basically the different drives for varying amounts of gain. Timmy for Lower gain, OD-3 for medium gain and the Muff for the lead tones. DD-500 and RV-500 always on for some delay and reverb.

Hi Dieter, I just take the most prominent parts of the song rather than each guitarist's part. For me, it's more fun to play that way when jamming the song :)
