- If you're watching this video, you know exactly what i'm talking about.
There is nothing worse than starting your car and hearing the 70mai 1S blurt out "70mai start recording".
In this video I will show you how to disconnect the speaker, leaving you with a peaceful motoring experience :-)
No other functions are affected by disconnecting the speaker, the dashcam will continue to record sound via the mic. If you do need to hear recorded sound, simply pop out the microSD card and playback using a PC/Laptop etc.
◉You can buy the dashcam here: amzn.to/3DA66yq
Leave a comment below, has this helped prevent that road rage you feel when it blurts out that line every time you switch on the ignition?
If so, please leave a like, subscribe and buy some merch to support the channel: Special edition silence the 70mai 1S T-Shirt here: teespring.com/...
Thanks for watching, see you Savages on the next one
WORKS PERFECT!! Thank you SO much; you explained it perfectly. That speaker was getting quite annoying 😅
Legend, worked a treat, thanks mate!
Thank you very much, buddy. I had already tried everything, connecting with FTP, telnet, but it seems that this model is not well-known in the geek community. Some mechanics and valets were discovering that my car had cameras and unplugging the connector wire to abuse speed bumps and speed limits. God bless you, greetings from Brazil.
I recommend that anyone performing the procedure in the video do it calmly. Put on headphones to focus with some good music, use a credit card to release the latches at the beginning, and use a Phillips screwdriver suitable for delicate screws. Keep the screws in a separate container to avoid losing them and use tweezers to carefully unplug the speaker cable.
Good One, I actually took the speaker cover off and discarded it allowing more room to tuck the speaker wire away.
Thanks mate you made my car peaceful
saved my life thx❤
Dude thanks a ton for this video. I recently did this on a different model of dashcam the lite one
Glad it helped
The same applies to m300. Thank u.
Thank you very much mate, I was just wondering how to dismantle this bomb one day after purchase, I wasn't brave enough till now. I completely understand the courage to simply disconnect that speaker...
Also, sometimes it would be handy to have some voices, for example when the cam would tell you some error, it just cannot without a speaker.
It might be worth to speak about... there are modified firmwares out on dashcamtalk, which are for changing the voice to another language. I think they do it by changing the speech smaples in the firmware, so you might be able to change the annoyingly loud and really bad speech voices to some tiny little and very silent beeps. It would be elegant.
I must recall my memories about Windows 95/98/XP installation process. After that, first step Total Commander, second step disable sounds. If a sound cannot be switched off by menu, I looked the wave up and wrote over with a prepared empty wav. This way the opsys thought the sound file was played, but I didn't hear anything. Nice times. :)
Thanks for posting this!
great video, thank you.
thank you, my dashcam is still silence :)
its working ! thank you
thanks for the video
Thanx man👍
super helpful video but at 2:07 is the best noise ive ever heard, how did you do that?
Thanks, the seat surfing sound wasn't planned, lol
@@HandymanSavage you should make this into a track dude
Thanks
Hi
Does this work with 70mai M300 (Chinese version) as well?
I just followed this video... After I unplugged the wire, the light stays green... I hold the button and it still won't turn off... And my phone doesn't show it in the wifi settings anymore... Help :(
Doesn’t that disable the microphone as well?
No, the microphone works perfectly fine and you can listen via the 70mai app
고맙습니다 그년은 이제 아무말도 하지 않습니다 ㅎㅎ
너무 좋아요 ㅋ
LOL, I had to use translate to read your comment, but glad it fixed it for you
Thnks
what does she say at the beginning?
Sounds like "Pardon me start recording"... Imagine having to endure that every time it is switched on...
Why do this when there is setting to turn off speaker
What setting? They never added one.
Chinese crap dashcam. No option to turn off sound in settings.
I was annoyed at the lack of sound control, hence the decision to make this very video. Luckily, it's a quick enough fix
@@HandymanSavage Thanks. They updated the firmware. It says "Start Recording video" now instead of what it says in video. But they still didn't add option to turn off sounds completely. They can easily do it via an update. But they keep adding extra sounds.
