- In this one, we will dive back into the urban jungles of Centro Habana. My host recommended I speak with a local gentleman that lives on the streets of Havana, Jorge/George. His story is complicated, as an individual who left with the Mariel Boatlift and then returned due to familial tragedy. In this video, we will speak with this Marielito from Havana.
Anything donated will be routed to George “New York” in Havana…. I have a contact that can get support to him.
I'm going to Havana next month. If possible, please provide a means to contact George. I want to see him and help him. Thanks

It was nice of him to provide his life story(as parts may seem dubious) for you and your audience. BTW, you can tell he spent significant time in NYC. He speaks with the old school barrio twang.
Your best work is Cuban videos
You might very well be right... Its where I am the most comfortable..... For sure....
i agree with this best videos are from cuba..
His passion comes threw when doing cuba vids. This was a good interview he let the guy talk and tell.his story ..
I think I prefer to make these Cuban vids....
I've been saying this for months now that the Cuban series are the best 👍🏽
@@tevinking8931 Tevin… You might be right
I am Cuba because of your videos. I had a blast! Great people.
@@rickg7030 thank you so much for trusting me🫡🫡
Thank you sharing. It reminds me of my uncle. He went back to PR and similar stories. Its messed up that humanity is decaying.
Thanks so much for sharing Barbara
Since watching your videos in June ive now been to Cuba twice🤣. That’s my second home I must say. I really enjoy your Cuba videos more than anything. Man Im so hurt Fabrica is closed for the whole month of September😣.
God bless Jorge. I’m so sorry his familia has abandoned him, but there’s a lot of younger people who find that really easy to do. Thank you for sharing his story Brother. I hope others find it in their hearts to help the impoverished.
Wow what an interesting story he told you it touches the heart in many ways
Thank you for this. Please more interviews with the locals
I hooked him up once when i was staying at that spot in el consulado. I had no idea he spoke english neither did i know that he lived in the states. Crazy!
back in Cuba nice bro respect for this George is truth womans there materialiste
We need part 2. How he became homeless? And where he at in Havana next time I am down there I can bring him a care package
He is usually around Consulado and virtudes.... George New York or Jorge New York they call him
Keenan - love your videos. Your Cuba stuff is always eye opening
Poverty is maddening 😢 He’s the same age as my parents and he looks so much older
George/Jorge/Jorje is right about dating. A haircut and clothes won't change what women want. Don't lie to him.
Mad respect for being real and vulnerable and showing how you feel. Jorge reminds me of my father who I never abandoned, and I shed a tear, too.
Great story, highlighting a scenario that we don't hear much about. I truly hope Jorge gets the support he needs in a timely manner.
great interview, man 👍🇧🇷
I love the Cuba series the best even though I have watched every video on this channel. I saw a new video from Cuba and raced to watch it
Love the Cuba series 🔥 I be coming down to Cuba tomorrow for two weeks. Keep the videos coming brother
Sad story
Keep the Cuba videos coming g brotha
Do follow up on interesting gentleman JORGE ( George from New York )
Keenan this is really sad bro
I cried filming
Cried Editing
Cried watching it after I posted it
Bro, I'm planning on going to Havana first week of November so please let me know where to find him so that I can help him.
Thanks bro
Thanks Gabe, you can find him chilling, usually on Consulado between virtudes and Neptuno.
You inspired me to visit and i do so later next month.
@KeenanLambert198
"No good deed goes unpunished" I've seen this similar story play out multiple times with kids
keenan it is sad for if was part of union in new york when teaching he may be able to get pension or social securety you can cheek it out for him summer is over but next summer you got to go to orchard beach on a sunday section 5 the greatest latin party any where in america keep up the good work
Hmmmmmmmm….. I think he worked at one of the private schools for visa holders…. But he should be entitled to social security though right?
🔥🔥
if h e did work in america on the books for over 20yrs he may be eligerble for social security that is the best thing you can do for him for if he is and can get any amount no matter how small that can go a long way in cuba contact someone with know how of in this field it can help
Great idea
Thought I'd leave a comment to help the algo...LOL...Hope all is well and safe Bro!
Respect and thank you family for having my back as usual

BACK IN THE ACTION!!!!
Did he say he was a professor of english?
@@ityou5874 Here.. they have these “private” schools that people learn English at meanwhile having student visas… It’s kind of a placeholder until they can secure other status in the states.
Hi was deported don’t think that he returned voluntarily.but hope he gets help
@mitchzeper8607 you think he is lying about his wife dying of Cancer?
In 2007 that would have been hard as the US and Cuba did not have a diplomatic relationship.
How’s Mr Jefferson doing?

His kids left him out to dry
They certainly did...... And he's bitter because of it
That's one side of the coin, I wonder what's the kids side, the fact that there seems to be more than one of them. Remember this.. always two sides, I made a note that he said "they said they don't have money, only money for their wives" that suggested he had contact, so what would make not one but all of them choose to step away from him
@@richesmethodThat’s true too
Wife died at 42? And he left for america in 1980 at 15? Sounds like hes blowing smoke haha
Why??? Ppl leave for America at under 1 year until 80. 15 believable and he said 1965 birth many times. Cancer can also hurt a young person even a baby. I believe him for sure. But I wonder what Kind of a father he was for his kids to leave him to dry like that .
I was thinking about the timeline… I think he may have been back and forth between Cuba and the US…. Sending back money to take care of the kids and his wife.
You will see my comments. I agree with you. Too many ????? and he came recommended. Maybe they saw Kennan's help with Mr. Jefferson. Radio Bamba in Cuba works very well.
@@josephweeks820 I saw him at the the entrance to the Consulado building… He was talking the host and I went over to say hello… The host recommended I chat with him…. The video actually happened by accident really.
This host WOULD never line me up lol
Also all that time he spent in NYC means his kids would have been grown by them. I think the commies promised him something and you're looking at the result.
I heard the oropouche virus over there is bad or somewhat bad. Planning on hopping on flight, but the risk of getting sick and then hardly no medicine or nothing or possibly long lines to get into hospital put you in position to not go there now. Maybe it slow down, but know one know for sure.
Oropouche has been tough but…
This oil based natural mosquito repellent carried me through without issues

How did you get to travel to Cuba? I have been wanting to travel to Cuba, but I've been told I can't from the US
The process is…. Book the flight….
American, United or COPA
Buy the Visa at the departure gate in Miami, Houston or Panamá City and you are on to CUBA

Unfortunately, this video may do more harm for this old hat good, bro. They watch this stuff. I'd be mindful of that when you do these videos with the locals.
This old brother has NOTHING to lose....

How do I visit Cuba bro. Is it a long process? Do you have a patreon?
No Patreon family… I want all of my content to be FREE for the people…
Also, getting to Cuba is extremely easy! Do you need help?
@@KeenanLambert198 yes I would like to go for 1 week in the spring 2025
What's a good budget for a month there? And is it a good idea to stay that long@@KeenanLambert198
@@KeenanLambert198 You may want to do another vid showing Americans, interesting in visiting Cuba, the step by step process of traveling there without getting in trouble with the US govt.
His English is so good. Very educated man. Sad his kids abandoned him and not send him any money. Regardless of whether he was a good dad to them or not, they still have a duty to care for their father. Too sad. No one gives a shit about men. Not even our kids it seems. Very heartbroken.
Damn, that's some awful sh!t right there
Bro K., I am not sure how to take this one. You say he was recommended to you. Hard to do due diligence there. Wouldn't he have returned from the US with some savings $$$. Maybe? There are any number of Cubans who would pay to learn English from him. Living on the street...even Mr. Jefferson has a roof over his head. The Cubans are very resourceful, think of the term RESOLVER. For now I am not a believer. Cheers from Canada
Brother Joe, my host recommended I get his story as he knows I like to help people. I met him before actually, he was out in the street and talking about NY back in FEB/March or so.... He was in far better condition before.... This time, I saw him out on Consulado at all times of the night and early morning... I do believe he could teach English for a few pesos and get by.... There is a lot to the story we don't have here...
@@KeenanLambert198 I just watched the latest from Victor G. He interviews a "working girl" who wants to learn English for her Canadian "friends". It's a match made in Havana.
Hey bro, I liked that you recorded this man's story. Good job.
Thank you so much for hanging in and watching this one!
You might as well move to Cuba bro lol
