No one is truly free. I worked 80 hours a week for 39 years and now retired and now spending all my time doing chores . The only time I ever felt free was when I got on a plane to go on a vacation. Freedom is when you are not controlled by other people. Even if you open your own business, buy a house, you must still run the business to make money to pay your bills. The person you owe money to is now controlling you.
Nothing is free. You have to work for what you want in life. If you were truly a slave with no freedom then why did you keep working for 39 years and didn’t just give up ??? My wife's grandmother was sold to the British from India as a 5 year old and shipped to Guyana south america where they were forced to work under contract and her grandfather used to get whipped. My ancestors in Sicily were lucky to live to 40 years old. There was no escape because Sicily had no jobs , only when North America needed people did he come to Canada, he worked on the railway for $200 a year compared to about $500 for other Canadians. Then he was discriminated against as a dirty WOP his whole life and my grandfather used to fight the people in the back lane to stand up for himself. They came from a paradise, Sicily to Canada in 1898 Winnipeg , in September and the snow came and dropped to -30 degrees compared to +40 in Sicily but they felt free from the slavery in Sicily. I am the most tolerant person, but I am getting really tired of these stories. Ramming these stories down the public's throat is not helping. If anything the more these stories are posted, the more they breed hate. The real story not being spoken, the lack of parentage, the lack of cohesive community, and the lack of values toward themselves and their history. To hammer a country for past sins is a front to all races. This crap has got to stop. "Thos who forget history and doomed to repeat it." Tearing down historic monuments and historic figures does not make the past go away. Why does the black community not address the fact that their own people sold them into slavery. Why not address that. Why not address the fact that during the civil war that Lincoln's secretary of the Navy floated the idea of repatriating blacks to Africa. Why not address the fact that the systemic virus of race degradation is the result of not only a system of racism but also a lack of education. An educated electorate is much more powerful than a dog whistle response to an inequality perceived. Blacks, Latinos, Gays, all need to be educated and use that education to advance themselves.

I'm concerned about the hangings because I had a hanging in my family my 19 year old daughter was hanged while in the hospital from a curtain rod and it was said suicide but I will never believe them and I don't believe the recent hangings are suicide. And the police investigation isn't going to tell us anything because they are part of the problem.

My best friend is a black dude. I met him in 2004 right after bootcamp in flight school in the military. By luck we got stationed together and have been all over the world together. My wife and his wife are both Japanese. These days he's a successful Naval Officer with a side hustle of running his own civilian flight school and teaching people how to fly. We are about to retire soon and he keeps turning down job offers from the airlines who tell him to get out of the military ASAP. He will be an airline pilot as soon as he leaves active service. We aren't just drinking buddies who claim we are good friends. We have been to war and back together and he knows me more than my own family. He has a Masters is business and he never complains about what these people in this video complain about. Its all a mindset. If you think you are held down, you will always be down. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and go EARN the life you desire. He tells me how embarrssed he is of these sort of people who think they can use their skin color as an excuse for being a failure. Personally I don't think this whole argument is about black slavery and ancestry in general. It is about the modern day biases in society that have not gone away like they were supposed to. Juneteenth was about freeing the atakkapa people whom were slaughtered because they did not want to submit to catholoism. The atakkapa were descendant from the Caribbean Arawaks whom on the mainland were nomadic 9 tribes of them.they roamed what was called Mexico Texas now just called Texas. Those be were the original indigenous melinated Arawaks. Whom became prisoners of war. They were not Africans nor did they identify as black. Those people were are MY ancestors.
