Watching your vids made me up and take the trek from Melbourne to the reserves in Mallacoota, Eden and Merimbula for the last two weeks (after the Easter rush)... fished everything from plastics in lakes to lure in shorebreaks and everything in between... collecting any crustaceans, sea veg and the forests were teaming with many varietals of delicious shrooms.

hi mate, the gear I pack in the boat or back pack tends to pretty task specific, e.g. if I'm going hiking its light weight tent, inflatable bed and sleeping bag. Generally day set and night set of clothes with a couple of spares. Fishing and diving gear appropriate for area and conditions. cooking is usually done via jetboil. Basic first aid is always packed which includes pain meds, snake bite bandage and a sat phone. When in the boat with more room I tend to take a good bed in the swag , proper gas cooking set up , all dive gear and a much broader fishing gear options ,20l of water and normal ( mot dehydrated as for hiking ) there is a picture of my backpacking gear at the start of one of my trout fishing vids for a visual reference hope this helps, thanks heaps for watching -- Chris :)

Chris, you got me on a video binge, mate! You live in a paradise. That squid was a pretty good size. I prefer octopus over squid...just got so use to eating tako poke in Hawaii and I absolutely love the stuff. Hey, I don't know if you've done a video on your gear load out but I am truly interested in what your EDC is for your simple overnighters and also your extended ones as well. Anyway I'm a new sub and look forward to seeing more of your videos. G'day, Bruh!
haha stoked mate !! binge on !! we are very lucky here , I'm pretty close to great forest, mountains, beaches etc and not too busy I have never done a load out video but my basic pack consists of sleeping kit, tent,3/4 bed roll, and sleeping bag basic cook,-- jet boil, pot or frypan water/food, generally gather both on trip as well to re supply but always carry a few extras knife , toiletries rum :) or honey whiskey :) extras tend to be task specific e.g. diving/spearfishing gear fishing rod/fly rod ropes etc. more whiskey haha stoked you subbed mate, love making these videos, so will def be more coming !! That is the the point on the north side of Emily Miller beach. You see they walked through an arch at some stage and you need to walk that way to get there.
