HUGE shoutout to Ben for letting us rip the yard and having a crazy fun time at the first BRL (backyard racing league) : ) I cant believe how fun 4 little quads can be when everyone is evenly matched and chaos is unfolding on the track. this is a great kit to get started - bit.ly/Tinyhawk

I’ve been flying the TinyHawk for about a month now and I absolutely love this little quad. It’s just the thing when you feel like zooming the back yard. And it’s so simple to use; you just throw a 1S on it and you’re ready to rock ‘n roll. I just ordered this full setup for my nephew. He wants to get into FPV, but like so many young people, it’s tough for him to put together the money for a 5”, battery packs, transmitter, and goggles. This takes all the guesswork out of the equation for a beginner and lets them concentrate on flying. Great review and flight footage. Thanks, Stew.
BTW, GNB has 1S, 600 mah batteries that are a perfect fit for this little quad. I bought some and I’m getting 4-5 minutes of flight time. Great batteries!

    @papadocquadshop2108 5 років тому

I built my first quad because of UAV Futures, and that was the best thing that could have happened for me. The tiny hawk is incredibly tough, I've smacked rock walls at full speed so many times I was sure it would be trashed, but it's still kicking. I'm missing all but 2 braces on 3 motors.and 3 on 1 motor. The absolute best way to get started, I've worn out my first 15 batteries with 1000"s of flights. I literally flew for 10 hours with a few breaks the first day I received it. E max nailed this better than all the others combined, at least for a beginner 1s quad, but its fun for any level pilot imo.

george macias - FAA in the US is very strict, and pretty much want to destroy the hobby, so most likely, the laws apply to even this size of drone. You could probably get away with it, but if you take it to a park, chances are eventually you would meet a person that thinks drones are evil, and reports you after asking for your license and you don’t have it.

Awsome channel!!! My son gave me a DJI Tello for Christmas. I really like it but it doesn't perform like the Tinyhawk. My son and I watched the 99.00 drone video, and he bought the professional version. We had a great time putting it together (great tutorial). He is really looking forward to taking it out and flying it. We live in Pittsburgh Pa where it is bone chilling cold (Bummer). This type of drone would be great to fly in the house when outdoor conditions are harsh, Again loved the video and look forward to your next one.

THANKS FOR TESTING THIS IN THE CONDITIONS IT WAS DESIGNED FOR. Well done. I have had a set course in my back yard complete with Laser timing for a couple of years, Just got my TinyHawk yesterday. Not breaking any lap records yet but will keep trying. May record is 22 laps in 3 mins with a quad I designed and built myself, best so far with tiny hawk is 18 laps, but i'm sure I can improve. As i'm over 65 I'm on the down hill side of getting faster but will persevere. I live in Inglewood NZ if anyone close by reads this feel free to contact me for some competition.

@@nonenone6425 funniest little quad ever, it used to build, crash, repair., and repeat. With the tiny hawk, Its just fly, crash, and repeat. The camera dislodged in a hard smack, but you don't have to disassemble it to put it back in place. Best way to explain is to watch Nick Burns videos, he has one showing how to do this, other than that you should get 1 set of props( they don't break, but they pop off, and their easy to lose), and you'll need a spare frame soon if you fly as much as I have ripped this little quad, but for the price I've found nothing to match the fun I've had . also I don't have an inside place to fly, it does ok up to about 5 to 6 mile an hour winds.

It might take some work to put together with your connections but I think people would pay 10% - 20% more onthe total if it's all available in one click as opposed to 10 product finds and 10 purchases.. Hey Stew! Love your channel! Thanks for all the information for beginners like me. On your recommendation last year I bought my first tiny whoop, Eachine E013 Small Pepper, and have loved Flying it around the house. I actually bought two, plus 10 extra batteries. I’ve had so much fun learning how to fly. Thanks so much! One problem is that I have a mostly tile floor house and so the crashes take some damage (cracked frame and Spurs around the props) and I’ve had very little success in finding a glue to fix it. Let me know if you have any recommendations! I do like how this one looks very sturdy...I might just pick one up. If you give one away...send it my way! 👍😀. ps would love a sim key!

Micro FPV drones are great fun.
Emax looks like a great starter for someone beginning from zero.
Still having fun with my Mobula7.

I'd love to get a kit like this. Closest to fpv I have done is the Parrot Bebop 2. It's fun, but I want to learn things like throttle control and acro on a non altitude hold drone....one that can withstand the inevitable crashes

Is it capable of changing from mode 1 to mode 2 ? Also, as far as the stick length goes, just stick on a bit of foam or rubber.

It looks like some kontrol freaks might fit on those joy sticks. People use them for video game controllers to extend the length of their sticks. I have some myself.

    I like this starter kit.
    Question-
Stu, can you bind the quad to other radios and back to orginal radio?
This would be my only potiental (if it cant rebind with orginal remote) problem of the rtf version.
Reason- Me and my friend (cant afford this hobby) have t8sg plus and whole bunch of brushed quads. Only 1 fpv starter kit we have is left overs from the rtf inductrix fpv (- that qaud, what what a piece of crap that was).
We would like nice rtf version ( like the one you just reviewed -with a nice quad, the box googles, rtf remote.) But because on tight budget i need to know if i can bind to other radio and back to orginal rtf remote.
    Thanks.

18650 batteries can be just as dangerous or volitile as other lithium battery types. Never abuse or misuse lithium battery tech, always check your batteries and test them as often as you can.
