Love listening to your early stages of working online! Sounds so much like my journey so far (sounds like I'm on the right path for a 6-figure income a few years down the line🤣) I've been doing so many random jobs and definitely not being picky, trying everything and doing internships and low paid jobs around my other job to gain experience (I also don't like risk when it comes to finances 😉)
Ahh thank you so much, Ula. You're definitely on the right path - just keep going. I promise it will pay off in the long run! Keep me updated as you go on.
I really love that you’re honest and up front about your degree and internship, I think that’s so important. This is in contrast to a lot of UA-camrs and entrepreneurs who say they have “zero knowledge and zero experience” about every single thing, but yet they’ve succeeded. 😅
My first step is to at least create a profile. I don't have a specialized skill currently but I am open to learning/trying new things for experience and is a way to get my feet wet in this industry. Being an entrepreneur has always interested me because of the freedom of working from anywhere in the world and having no one try to manage me lol. I'm looking forward to this new chapter in my life and I'm excited. Thank you for your advice!
I literally don't know why genuine contents and people like this don't hit a lot of views and sub.😂... I barely comment on a video but,, your genuity caught me this time😂
i genuinely thought that you are a youtuber with at least 100k subs oh my god so underrated!! amazing content! a question i have is that i am a junior in high school with no work experience but i want to start freelancing. so how do i even make people trust me, how do i sell myself, what is my credibility?
Jasmeet! This is the BEST comment ever - thank you so much. Made my day. And here are a few things I did to grow trust when I had no experience: - Create a portfolio - samples of work that show off what you are trying to offer as freelance services - this is the best way to bridge the 'no experience' gap in my opinion. You can create samples just on your own too - doesn't have to be for clients! - Gather as many testimonials as you can that speak to your skill set, soft skills, work ethic, etc. - Do a few free projects in exchange for testimonials - reach out to your family/friends and see if you can do a quick one-time project in exchange for feedback and a testimonial - Do a part time internship (2-3 months) to gain experience, testimonials + network with the business owner and their network - Reach out to your warmest network first - start there and try offering them a referral fee for future referrals. You'll have more credibility if you go through people that know you already!
Honestly, does anyone like hearing their voice in an audio file!? Also, must be also somewhat humbling to see where you're at now from scared of hearing old 2016 work to wherever it is you think you are now haha! Also, congrats on 500+ subs!
Hi deya I find your videos very helpful as a newbie freelancer.Since you first started working in upwork how did you deal with the issue of buying connects for sending proposals as you said in another video to send 20 -30 proposals each month? Also they don’t offer free connects after signing up in 2024 ;(
Really enjoyed your video on how you started working online. Living in Germany as well I would like to know if you had to register a „Gewerbe“ when you started working online or if you just informed the „Finanzamt“ that you started a business. How did that work?
Hi Deya! Love your videos! Not sure if you'll see this but in a lot of your videos you mentioned FB groups just as you did here and I was wondering any tips on what kind of FB groups I should be searching for? I feel like all the groups I've joined in the past with keywords such as "networking, local, freelance, etc..." they are always just spam promoting their businesses and it's so ... "spammy". I would love some tips! Thanks :D

How can I get clients from facebook groups
It kinda hard
I don't know how to network
where did you learn dbm?
how old do you have to be
Not sure - I think it may vary country to country. You may want to google for laws on freelancing/employment in your country of residence.
