Hi Tucker, you can install a clamp on the tube that goes to the strut. After inflation close the clamp and let some air from the LE for higher wind days.
Hi, I love my Mantis. But It lacks a deflation valve on the central strut. As wings, en general, are so difficult to deflate and pack (compared to kites), I think the bag is a bit cheap. I'm used to the Cabrinha kite's bags and I think i would have preferred a bag like these to have more room and ease. Sorry for my english. I did my best. 😄 Aloha every on.
Great feedback Patrick. I guess you do have to accept some concessions when you go with a less expensive wing. But with the cash you saved I'm sure you can find a fully featured bag. Personally, I did find the bag large enough for easy entry of a properly folded wing in both 4m and 5m sizes. I can't speak for the 6.2m but if the bag isn't any larger, I could see it being more finicky about the way you pack it. -Tucker
I have deciding to buy mantis some month ago in 6.2 mq, and i'm happy of this wing and now i'm looking to buy another one in 4mq I know if is not the best wing on planet but it's the only alternative to gong but with little bit more quality construction and materials. The only disappointing for me it's that not the powerful wing on market but for cruising its very nice
Sorry to hear that Martijn, I'd be happy to re-submit that warranty on your behalf. Please email me your receipt, pictures and serial number to Tucker@mackite.com
Sorry to hear that Gust Hunter, If you pull the bladders you should be able to find the source of the leak. If you find it looks suspicious or a valve is delaminating... Contact us at warranty@mackite.com and we can help you file a warranty claim. -Tucker

Yes, I've done this with other wings. The Mantis seems to shed gusts pretty well on it's own so I haven't found the need.
