New activity added to my bucket list: Ride down Sunset Boulevard with Scott Michaels. You are a walking talking file cabinet of Hollywood lore. I can't wait to watch more of these!!!
I drove around for 3 hours in LA with you in 2014 Scott on the Murder tour. It’s one of the highlights of my life. We went everywhere! We even went to the Farmers Market lol
Always interesting, interactive, and intriguing with a delicious twist of the macabre. This is what makes Scott Michaels the best at what he does. Scott always brings his own experiences to the stories which makes them priceless. Thank you Scott. Stay safe and be well.
I used to live a mile and a half from the house where Alfalfa was killed. We moved there in 1992 and the house was still intact in its original form. Years later, it was remodeled and they changed the front façade. The house is in Mission Hills and was part of the tract homes built there after World War II. Ironic that they put a dog on his tombstone when he was killed over a lost hunting dog. Love these videos❣️🥰
Loved your Manson tour! We went on it 3 times when people visited and you were always so gracious. I am sad you are no longer doing the tours, as everyone should have the chance to meet you- you are amazing Scott! Thank you for doing this!❤
I love the humour you inject into these videos about rather morbid circumstances. I used to read your “find a death” website many years back when I was at work (and was supposed to be working). One of my favourites was the Jack Cassidy article describing his eventual demise in an apartment fire. You had added an update titled “Crisp New Details”. I couldn’t stop chuckling all afternoon!
Lmao. I know I love it when he gives the videos some levity by cracking jokes. I’ve been a find a death fan forever. I remember the video of Montgomery Clift when he called Elizabeth Taylor a “FA_ HAG”… And another video about Ennis Cosby and talking about what an a$l!!&.$
Please do another LA drive tour like this one!! We never made it down to your Dearly Departed tour!🙁 our son lives in LA and when we go there, I’m always dragging my husband around to random true crime scene locations lol one night we did the El Coyote up to Cielo Drive🤷♀️ last time I was trying to find Easton Drive and we missed it and turned on another street to turn around, which ended up being the street where Tex and the girls stopped to wash off the blood and encountered the home owner. Completely accidental but it looked familiar so I rewatched Six Degrees of Helter Skelter and discovered it was the same house.👍
Thank you sooo much for posting this. I never got to make it in for a tour and that still bums me out. Hollywood Forever is my absolute favorite spot in LA. Holly STILL lookin good in them golden years! I can only hope for the same. My big dream: to get into Chaplin/ Henson Studios for a tour. They’ve never offered them when was around because they still shoot things there on the daily, my understanding is that they are a “no go” for tours. Dang.
I will forever regret not going on your tour on my last trip to the “best coast.” Thanks for posting these gems! You have the best stories. I especially loved the “Walk On The Wild Side” one. Very cool. I just read that Joni Mitchell was recording “Blue”at the same time Carole King was recording “Tapestry” at A&M. Carole snuck into Studio C early one morning to record, “I Feel The Earth Move” because she liked the piano better in Joni’s studio. James Taylor was also recording at that time. A lot of great music was created there. Thanks for pointing out the location.
Michael Scott, you are a TREASURE!! I love your stories, your encyclopedic knowledge of LA history is incredible, please PLEASE document all of your stories!! You're an important historian, you just don't fully realize it, I think. Posterity will.
Thank you for filming these. I was lucky enought to be able to come on a tour in 2018. As sad as it was to hear that the tour's have stopped and the museum is closed I'm glad I can get to watch these videos, take care and hope to see more
Another video knocked out of the ballpark! Goes to show how Los Angeles has always been documented for its good side and ugly side on all sorts of platforms. Well done and best wishes, Scott!
This brings me back to the days when I took DDT with Brian and you two were just a fountain of history that I sorely miss while driving around LA. Seeing these videos you put up and just spewing out information makes me wish DDT was still around. No matter what video I pick, I always learn something new. Keep it up, Scott!! Love your videos
I love these videos. I don't live in LA, but I find it fascinating. I could drive around the Hollywood area all day. I especially like the video that you did at the spider pools. I also find the Weissmuller home in Bel-Air amazing. When I was there, years ago, you could actually see the pool from the old fence line. And yes some one saw me and security showed up. BTW, were you the same person that did the Grave line Tours in the old Hearse? I took that years ago.
I've been a Findadeath follower since many years ago. I found it really entertaining. I remember when Mr. Michaels went to London, I've read the Directory many many times, I know about his friend Laer's death, and so on. Keep the good work!!!
Just Wow! Still catching up as a new subscriber I Love this one! The driving the places! Your very informative please DEf More of this kind of videos 😊
Geez what I wouldn’t give to drive around for a week or more with you. Man you’re a wealth of knowledge. I love your videos. As soon as I seen you put it up. I clicked off another video to watch, so glad I did.
Been binging your videos lately😊 Have watched you before from the tours. Always get a kick out of the stories where we hear, "...it's not funny" 😂 Amazing how you've absorbed all of this history👍 Please, keep the videos coming!!
I always enjoy your videos. I did get to take one of your tours years ago. It was fun and you have a great wealth of information. I consider you a friend in my head because you were so nice .
Endlessly fascinating, as always! I love the L.A. footage with your fabulous narration...I love the gritty old portions of a city. I have loved the workings of your mind since the FindaDeath days - your frequent mailbox reveal & witty commentary (about the habit of people ordering the dishes named after them at Vitello's - "I'll have a bowl of me!"). Keep up the glorious work, Scott! ✌️♥️
Scott: PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE! I loved it. I was addicted to Findadeath. I'd read as many stories on my lunch break as I could & not even eat. You know EVERYTHING about LA/Hollywood & celebs as well as true crime in LA. PLEASE.
Please pkease do more!! These are great! Your voice is incredible for this stuff too! Im on thr east coast i can't get to west coast for a while i thoroughly enjoy true crime anything in Hollywood ❤😊
I love this. So much history. You were instrumental in my going to West Hollywood, March 2020. I stayed in a non-pretentious motel on Beverly, across the street from CBS. Unfortunately I got food poisoning from a famous deli on Fairfax and didn't get around much. I was there the day before the Covid virus shut everything down. Thank you for adding so much to my life.
Thanks for your usual expertise and superb delivery, Mr. Michael; always enjoy watching your videos and have since seeing your collaborations with Jordan the Lion a few years ago.
Thank you, great video as always! I live pretty local, Hollywood Forever is a gorgeous place! So many greats there. My favorite epitaph is Mel Blanc’s- “That’s all folks!” Trolling from the grave, what a legend 😅
Love the videos you do I grew up in L.A. and Hollywood till the age of ten but I have always been fascinated with the dark side of L.A. and Hollywood I actually own your two dearly departed dvds and your six degrees of Helter Skelter dvd which is my favorite so please keep making videos like this one and I also loved the video where you showed your Helter Skelter sfuff.
Great to see you again Scott love all your videos so interesting love ❤️ all the Hollywood stories you are wonderful story tellor it would be amazing to be on one of your tours sending you Best Wishes and thanks for your work and hi to all who are watching I know we all love ❤️ you Scott Marie Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪
I find your site and your knowlege facinating....i thought id been to just about everywhere i wanted to go and see in the LA AREA....but keep ding what your doing ....i love it!
I love your knowledge on all these vids. Wish I could have gone on one of your tours but I live in Florida and have way too many health issues to travel. Love everything you do
Cool riding around with you. I could take a week of it. Waco reference made me think of the time Joe and I went to Mt. Carmel. Spooky eerie place. Hope we didn’t curse ourselves by borrowing the artifacts we sent you. Thanks for taking us along. Soon again please.
Watching your uploads reminds me of how insignificant we all are and all have our little role to play on the stage of that short theater play called life in our time.
Oh my gosh!!! I lived at 6238 Delongpre for 13 years! And that was your headless story... I temember the two who lived down the hall from me. I moved out before the murder.
Awesome video Scott! Hey so when you said something about the Cathedral Mausoleum "where I am going to be" is that where you are being interred a long time from now? If so how cool to be in the same place as Rudolph Valentino! Anyway this is one of my favourite videos, love the spontaneous chaos😀
Long time fan & sub. But WOW bruh...you took me back on this ep. At 16:36 in your video, just to left of the disco you were describing, in the building that now says "Fit Arts" I owned a computer store called "Cafe Mac" for 5+ yrs back in '97 thru 2002. Thanks for the recall.
I like the way your mind works. Nothing wrong with it. I enjoy your content. I think you are full of Hollywood trivia and memories. I think it's great. And I think you're great! And you evn have a great sense of humor. God bless ! 🧡🙏🏻
Are you ever doing tours again?? I would LOVE to be on your tour! I was so disappointed that you didn't do them when I went out. It was on my bucket list
Cool to see these parts of Hollywood history. Funny is I lived there back in the mid 70s for a few years. I recognize many of the places you visit in your videos. I was just a young man starting out in life on my own.
I live in Van Nuys and I was surprised of the number of infamous murders that took place in a relatively short distance for where I live. Even though Ewell family murders which took place in Fresno, it still had a San Fernando Valley connection. The gun barrel of the murder weapon was disposed of in Reseda which is not far from Van Nuys. The Tate murders the Menendez murders the Wonderland murders the Robert Durst murder and that police woman who killed her rival. That murder took place somewhere in this vicinity. I’m sure there’s others. When I was living in the city of Los Angeles, I was surprised to find out that the Black Dahlia‘s body was found in an area I was familiar with. In most of the reports I’ve heard, the exact location wasn’t mentioned. But in one report it mentioned the street and I was surprised because I was familiar with that area.
Love it, love it! One question, would you consider investing in some pivot head glasses while you drive? You could use them as back up for when you need to put the phone down. I can't bear the thought of anything bad happening to you while you're bringing us all this fascinating history and trivia! Much love!
PLEASE do more videos as you're driving around telling stories. I could watch you for hours!!! So much history & cool stories to tell ...
IKR? I could watch him for hours especially about the Manson murders
Yes! I enjoy riding in the car with Scott (in video).

I’m binge watching. You’ve lived such an interesting life and met so many people. I respect the heck out of ya.
