  • Saturday, Sept. 30 is National Day of Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. A ceremony to commemorate the day - Remembering the Children - was held on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
The ceremony served as a memorial for "the children lost to the residential school system and honour survivors and their families."
Several Indigenous performers played music in tribute, and several speakers, including Gov. Gen. Mary Simon, took to the podium to share their sentiments on reconciliation and Indigenous identity.

Even if you look at the TRC's shaky findings based on cobbled together records ranging from decades to centuries ago they estimate 3,201 dead children out of 150, 000 that passed through those schools. Roughly 2% of total students. In many cases the records were poor and gave very little information with regards to cause of death. They also included in those numbers children who attended the schools, but died at home, in hospitals or sanatoriums. The vast majority dying of disease like TB, influenza and pneumonia that were recorded. The amount that died from suicide or accidents that were recorded (really the only findings you could claim abuse might have happened on) doesn't even equal 100. Also the vast majority of the students roughly 2,500 died before 1939. We have to remember this was a time where disease ran rampant and we did not have the medical technology that existed today. This is all based on the TRC's questionable results and none of these presents a picture of long standing abuse, mass graves and genocide the media has led us to believe. Now they want us to believe that long standing cemeteries that have fallen into disrepair and questionable GPR is some kind of evidence of a greater horror that no evidence supports.

And the missing women in BC? I saw a book in my sons school library two days ago called “what if I go missing”, the back of the book said something about “what if I go missing and the police don’t respond like they would for a white girl”… no mention at all that most of not all of the missing women were transient addict, prostitutes, or the fact that regardless of ethnicity cases involving missing prostitutes are very difficult for police to solve. I wanted to slip a note in the book saying “if your not hooked on drugs and a prostitute than don’t worry”…

@@wreckinbal tragedies like these affect every race and ethnicity. Every culture on every continent. And, sadly, a large number of these women are addicts who get caught up in a very dangerous lifestyle. Others are trafficked as young children and forced into prostitution. Saddest of all, the country I live in, the United States, has the largest number of vile degenerates who fuel this evil.

Well then, like everyone else interested in facts, DO YOUR HOMEWORK and then you'll know what they're talking about. I think we're skeptical of how the lands were 'settled' if you'd like to bring some issues up. Secondly, it's Nobody else's place to be speaking on exhumations and such. Here's a third. Never mind memory of Indigenous identity/ culture. That is right now my friend. Yesterday. Tomorrow. 10 000 years from now. 10 000 years + previous. It is all of the above wrapped into one and it is, ALIVE AND WELL.

All our education is in the English language but the tragedy is when we immigrate to the English speaking countries they take Ielts and Toefl exams every two years.... and make millions of dollars...white domination was there for generations and is still there and no one can challange this...I feel we are all survivors here...Survivors and victims of the Churches of England..
