Keeping the City of Steel Lit

Cleveland-Cliffs Middletown Works in Ohio is investing in the next wave of workers in a very unique way. The Maintenance Apprenticeship Training Program is developed and taught by IAM Local 1943 members, on-site at the mill. The program takes each student about 18 to 20 months to complete, after which the apprentice will be a certified journeyman maintenance mechanic.
