I remember reading one story where someone was beneath one of the former Overseas Railroad bridges when they heard the sound of an old steam train passing overhead, when such a thing would have been impossible as the Overseas High had long since replaced the railroad. Though none the less they went up to check only to just see the highway as at had always been and no sign of a train
I grew up in the Keys. The 18 mile stretch from Homestead to the 1st Key which is Key Largo is definitely haunted, to me that is the worse part of the Overseas Hwy
Getting into a near-death vehicle accident changes ones perspective on the idea of losing your life on a lonely road. Not a pleasant thought whatsoever.

I have been on Blue ridge Parkway and it is creepy even when it is in the day so parts of it it is so dark
