Yes, I still use the Sigma FP, but mostly for personal hobby and as a back-up cam on gigs. For audio, I would use wireless lavs, like the DJI Lav Mics, and mount the receiver on the Sigma FP cold shoe. If you're looking for a shotgun mic, there are some pretty small ones out there, but I haven't used them.
Thanks. I use the Dark Power Laboratory SSD rack, which is very compact but makes it difficult to access the mic port. I might have to change my setup a bit or just stick with an external audio recorder.
I am doing my first interview. So if my camera does not do sound. do I get a lavaliere and a h4 zoom and record sound separately. is it ok if I ask the questions and just edit and show the interviewee response only on film. I am not wearing a microphone . if I use a lavaliere, and my camera does not have the xlr outlet for the other piece of the lavalier, does that mean it won't work. what is difference between H4 or H1 zoom. I was thought to use H4 in school would appreciate some advice. my interview is on Tuesday

Do you still use the Sigma FP, and do have any suggestions for a compact mic setup for that camera for travel?
