I attended this airshow with my father and my niece. It was the last before the base closed. I had purchased a Motorola Micro-tac cell phone that day. The A10 and the Antonov 224 were the big attractions for me. Several days later, I saw the Antonov departing. It had taken off several minutes previously and was playing past my home. It was so out sized compared to other aircraft that it appeared to be much closer than it was and therefore appeared to be barely in motion in the sky. It was a bizarre picture with the aircraft seeming to defy physics and simply float away...
Malodie Tchapko Yes an 225. I watched the arrival. Most impressive. Next day I walked through it. We were very lucky to have in Namao at the same time as the C5. Two huge aircraft.
I was at that show. The B-1B Lancer was the one I liked. Thanks for reminding me how old I am.
I feel that way too.

This is really cool to see. I was there, no joke. I was about 5 years old. Seen the f117, 224, sat in the f18 and snowbird leader.
Glad it brought back good memories
I have really fond memories of this particular airshow. It was HUGELY exotic to see "actual Russian" planes on display and performing.
I remember attending this
was that the Antonov in the back?
