In episode 2, we set up SNMP sensors. Now we're on to the WMI sensors!
Awhile ago, I made a video on upgrading your bandwidth with @PaesslerGmbH 's PRTG.
I got so many comments asking about how to use it, that I decided to make a mini-series on how to get started with PRTG!
Thanks for watching, and as always, Keep IT Simple!

These prtg videos are great. Please keep them coming!
Love your energy, passed my very first exams using your Nuggets. Thank you
Lovely video Jeremy. Would be testing this out. Please can you also make a video on how to secure your prtg with an ssl certificate. Yet to see a video that simplifies that.
So helpful! Thank you Jeremy
awesome video! I had no idea it could monitor services! Trying it right now.
Thank you for the PRTG series Jeremy. Great stuff. Looking forward to checking out more of your material. Like you, I use a lot of Ubiquiti gear in my home. Unfortunately, the newer gear from them (UDM Pro and the USW-24-POE) doesn't support SNMP (at this time) like the older switches and gateways do... then I saw how you handled monitoring your UDMP bandwidth monitoring... you are using the Gen1 250W switch. That's going to be my answer to that as well! Thanks again!
I use about 30 WMI Sensors for my production environment. For some I changed the scanning interval to 5 mins, so that these wouldn't be able to slow my probe down or even the servers themselves.
Love you Jeremy 😊
Good stuff, Jeremy. Can you do a video on PRTG "Channel Unit Configuration" on what is best when monitoring network bandwidth and traffic? Thanks!
fantastic video!
Thank you very much!
Man this guy really loves his WAP...
Awesome series love it! Wondering if you can uncover any tricks for monitoring the UDM Pro, Ubiquiti did not include SNMP for it and im curious how to monitor it other than just ping and http..
Awesome thanks 👍
Love it Thank you
I installed PRTG, decided to use Auto discovery and jeez I feel overwhelmed, I wanted to understand why Jeremy kept on about not using auto-discovery from scratch...
