- The 2022 Pinellas Trail Challenge didn't go according to plan, but I still finished the race and had a great time. I'm excited to bring you the race in it's entirety and highlight each of the amazing aid stations and the wonderful volunteers.
Race Info:
This race is 100% free and supported by the local community and volunteers. The paved trail runs the length of the Pinellas Trail, which begins in downtown St Pete, goes up to Tarpon Springs, and then back to Dunedin for the finish line. Having gown up in St Pete I've known the trail all my life, so being a part of an event where many runners run the entire length is incredible.

Awesome finish!! I had no idea there was a trail like that in Pinellas.
It's awesome, I miss it now that I'm in an area that doesn't have any paved paths dedicated to running. It actually connects up to the greater Florida Coast 2 Coast trail system which is pretty incredible itself.
Thanks for uploading! You have inspired me greatly. My goal is to complete the Manhattan perimeter run. I have tried once last summer and failed at around 28 miles, bad cramping in my upper right thigh/hip took me out. I faced many detours and road closures which added miles. You have motivated me to try this again and walk it out when needed.. Thank you!

I remember when the trail was train rails, and the circus used to go downtown and have a parade every year to the Bayfront Center.
Wow! The trail has come a really long way, that actually sounds like a lot of fun.
