ren is the only former member of the life series that didn't join secret life, and probably for a good reason, so it's unfair to mention the series to him when he's not in it
so during the decked out 2 - guest invite, Ren and Martyn roleplayed for a while, and in the middle Martyn did mention secret life to Ren who is not in it. Later Impulse saw them and said he only just realised what a good duo they are. I don't really understand anything more than that. I also don't think it's unfair to mention SL to Ren. He most likely has a personal reason for not being in, I don't believe they made the serie behind his back. (The whole bit is in Ren's video)
I just realized, if Grian hadn't rigged the Heart Foundation lotto, he'd be a yellow life after his fall from Mounder Tower.
