Barium liquid is going to lungs when swallowing.. is that dangerous? My throat is closed totally
Same today i did this test 🥺 after few hrs i also had this problem and my condition is worst because i don't have cough or gag reflex along with moderate too severe disphagia too because of nerve damage from styloidtecomy post tonsillectomy coblation surgury i had done in September 2021 but that surgoen didn't me abt complianctions other than just told ( blood loss or bleeding , heart problems during operation or rarely death but didn't told me about unilateral left glossopharyngeal and vague nerve damage or left vocal cord nerve / muscle damage but unfortunately those he didn't told i got them only now he is denying to cure and also all other HOSPITALs r saying to sue him legally but in his family there are 3 lawyers 😟
@@alstondsouza4 Bro can you please describe the consistency of the liquid you had. How soft was it. Did you have to only stand or lie down during procedure
@@doctorstrange2736 it was like pink slime paste and only for last water siphon test is was sort of dialuted fully and i both sit up and lie down although I am fine now i had vomited on the same day that was around 2-3 hrs after my dinner and the test was performed in afternoon !
@@alstondsouza4 Thanks brother. How much time did test take? I am myself a Doctor. I know the textbook procedure but do not know how it is practically done in India. I am thinking of getting it done. I have normal endoscopy but still feel dysphagia. Glad you are better now.
@@doctorstrange2736 larinygosopy 70° shows deep fibrosis of coblation & pool of salva bilateral ,
nasopharyngx x-ray &chest x-ray normal and ,odnosopy and osophagues mametry both normal so did ultimate barurim swallow which took around 30-40 mins showed only acid reflux later 8 months post styloidtecomy ...... found its unilateral vocal cord nerve damage and that's why normal analgesic weren't effective for that and was on anticonvulsant from 75-300 mg then the name changes this cycle was since September till now and also solid food aspiration so i avoid having fully solid food items to avoid aspirations and end up for emergency broncosopy i am not a complete Doctor but I work for US healthcare data services IT OUTSOURCING
