As a child we used to go to The Science & Industry Museum frequently!😊(That's when the Museum's & Aquariums where FREE to the public! Obviously MANY year's ago) I would spend HOURS, totally FASCINATED with this SPECTACULAR DOLL HOUSE!!! This was EVERY little girls DREAM HOUSE. Colleen Moore was a FASCINATING person & her Charitable work to help thousands of children says what type of person she was. She has a FASCINATING life story. I am now 63 years old & I've done research over the year's into her life story & ALL of the minitures she collected over her years. To this day I'm still fascinated & will be to the day I die. She had a vision that HELPED many many children & grownups. She was a TRUE HUMANITARIAN.
I'm 78, and we went to the Museum of Science and Industry frequently when I was a child. Colleen Moore's Doll House was my delight. I missed the tree with baby and cradle in front of the doll house in this video, though. Do you know if they replaced it?
@@maureenhawkins2875 I don't know. It's been years since I 've visited. I lived in Wisconsin for 23yrs. I know it was there then because I remember seeing it. A truly remarkable & magical place. That doll house is beyond little girls dreams of having 1 of their own.
I've seen this in person, many years ago! So glad to see it updated:)
Amazing craftsman ship. Wish there was a video with a walk-through and narrator describing all the details.
I couldn't see any miniature suits of armour, but if there are and you would like them restoring then it would be my pleasure, you know where I am. I had not heard of this castle until reading about Charlie Chaplin tonight. Fascinating. From one miniaturist to a a team of others, one GIANT (but very small) high five... from me and all the mice in the workshop.
Put the video on 0.25 and it slows it down and is really neat to watch.
this is absolutely incredible!
Beautiful Castle xxxx xxxx
I didn't now they did this until I saw this video.
I hope they set up the chess pieces correctly. 😁
They weren't set properly the last several times I visited which was quite some time ago.
😃👏
I am not into fiction, especially doll houses. However, this is professional model making which I greatly appreciate.
Saw this exhibit for the first time today and now I’m obsessed!!
