OK. I had my breast implants done in 2008 it was saline. My bad boys looks durable still to this day 😋 once 15 years will I change them to silicone nope. I will stick to saline end of 😁🇬🇧
I’m Getting saline . Silicone has bad verse affects and saline is natural so worst case scenario if it leaks which is rare . Body will be fine and absorb the water
There have been numerous studies on the safety and efficacy of silicone breast implants. The FDA has approved them to be safe and breast augmentation is the most common cosmetic surgical procedure performed in the United States every year. Implants are much different than they used to be with rigorous testing and cohesive gel. I can't tell you how happy my breast augmentation patients have been with their implants. I would recommend a consult with a plastic surgeon to go over all of your concerns. Saline implants are also a perfectly good option if you are still concerned and are less expensive.
@@barrettplasticsurgeryonly issue is with silicone it’s harder to tell if you have a rupture right? If you have a rupture with saline it’s pretty obvious compared to silicone. My doctor recommended saline for me because he said he can shape it easier? Does that sound correct or is this guy trying to take my money
But what about our body temperature being at 98.6 or more? what happens to cohesive gel when it's placed in the body and heats up? I would love to see this test
What if the implant is pre - heated to about 98.6 Fahrenheit - averaged internal body temperature & then put it to the test? * Will the temperature weaken / soften the shell ? 🤗
body temperature will not weaken the implants. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
Yes...it does start breaking down in the body. Join breast implant illness and healing by Nicole and look at pictures of women having them removed. They're practically melted and goopy some of the time.
I do not think my boob would undergo any of these experiences except the fall. but my head would smash first on that one, anyway. so I dont think my implant would be an issue.
I still would get a breast ultrasound...my ruptured 6 years post surgery and I would have never known... zero symptoms... I was just going in because I’m 40 and was told they changed breast checks... I read with silicone implants mammograms can’t detect ruptured and are not as good if you have implants... ultrasounds are better with implants and foe deducting ruptures.... never have been in an accidents, no falls, no crazy activities, I’m a mom, super healthy and my day consists of laundry and car pooling.

the two main types of implants are silicone and saline. The shell of the implants can be either textured (which reduces capsular contracture) or smooth. A textured implant sometimes requires a larger incision. The shape of the implant can be either round or tear drop shaped (gummy bear). Both have their advantages and disadvantages. The different types of implant offer different pros and cons. For instance, the pros of silicone implants are that they look and feel more natural and ripple less. On the other hand, the pros of saline implants are that they do not require as large of an incision as silicone, less expensive, they have less incidence of capsular contracture (scarring around the implant), one can tell immediately if there is a rupture, the size can be slightly adjusted, and they can be used for women less than 22 years of age.

It’s more common than you think. If you are asking the question...don’t take a plastic surgeon’s canned answer about implant safety (it’s their bread and butter). Look at all the great web sites about breast implant illness and get the real answer from the hundreds of thousands of women it has affected.
of course the plastic surgeon would say that but as a woman who has breast implants, I regret getting them for the reasons of BII and I will get an explant which costs more than the implant when I save. up funds.
