You were right, it’s about the loss of innocence and temptation , V is a falling angel and Jin kisses abraxas you did good on picking up on things. There is a Japanese version that you also must see that supposed to help with story line. You did better than me the first time I watched it.😂

Oh my gosh!! Hahahaha!! I'm absolutely dying watching you react to this. There is so much to unpack and try to understand (you nailed the paintings, I think; very proud of your for that) and you just pausing and going "What?" is sending me. Girl, I am almost in tears!!! I'm so sorry for the struggle and pain you're going through watching this, but you haven't even gotten to RM's random speech and the kissing of the statue (which in my opinion, are the most confusing parts; I understand it now but not when I first watched it) and you're already losing your mind and I am DYING of laughter!!
Also, this mv (symbolism aside) is gorgeous! The sets, the outfits, the makeup, the choreo, and the song itself is a banger. Can you imagine being an ARMY when they first dropped this??? I can't!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD'VE DIED!!! I'm pretty sure this was the first song that was purposefully quite sexy, and like you said, JK IS STILL A CHILD. And then seeing this song and choreo live? Haha!! Bury me now. I'm done.

On the storyline, just remember, all the boys are growing up and trying to survive in each of their story lines. For example, think of Jimin..."caught in a lie" and trying to decide what he needs to do (continue with temptation - keep lying - or try to be good - be honest). This was an awesome reaction!

Yes you are totally right about the messages of temptation and loss of innocence . The apple that kept appearing reminded me of the apple in The Garden of Eden which was their temptation. To me, when Jin kissed the statue at the end it was like selling his soul to the devil and Tae turned around with a little smirk as if to say "I snatched up another unsuspecting victim". You're very perceptive and your art history and literature experience were very helpful in deciphering some of the content. This video is a masterpiece for sure. Thanks for reacting.

When people talk about the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge that Adam and Eve ate in the Garden of Eden, that fruit is often shown as an apple. You are absolutely right about this being about temptation and the loss of innocence. That's why they have the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge before them. Also, JK was 19 when this video came out. Still a baby, but at least of legal age. They have said that this is the first song that they truly tried to be sexy for. Personally, I'm glad that they waited until JK was of age before that chose to do that.

First, you are pretty badazz in figuring stuff out!!!!
BS&T is all about temptation...from Tae being a fallen angel to the members running towards the light while Jin chooses the opposite, to the replica of Michelangelo's Pieta and the exploding face to the Virgin Mary...to the "last supper" with an apple (sign of temptation) as the only meal, and the two doors one black one white...choosing good or evil....the painting the the battles of Lucifer and his demons against Michael and his angels...yeah, I say you got the message right on.
And finally, I know there are explain video on this but it literally is all about temptation and the death that it leads to (be it the death of innocence, relationships or life itself).

@@blondie5240 It really is a great example of spiritual warfare over the human soul…. It’s so deep that it can hurt your brain just thinking about it.
At first I was offend by the video but to be honest it was because it is true that we have to ignore that moral compass and make choices knowing they are not good ( like you mentioned about high school). But we get through them, regret some but learn from it all. BTS are deep.
And as much as I enjoy their venture into English pop, nothing holds a candle to what they have done in their Korean music catalog. The messages!!! My goodness!

In my opinion the "blood Sweat And Tears" that is connected to the BU is the Japonese version of the song.
This one is more focus on demian, even you had some références to the BU.
the theory of this video/song/whole 2016 era is crazyyyyy. like the 2015-2016 BU universe era literally gives me chills. they could honestly adapt it into a book series or show and it would be incredible
When you mentioned that they were wearing white at the table, with the apple (i.e. Adam & Eve), they were still innocent. Then it switched to them dancing…in black! That was great! First time I noticed that! 😄

@@blondie5240 I always look forward to your thoughts, I'm just permanently apprehensive of the BU because I get chronic migraines & even when I've seen people point things out or explain theories my brain just goes "whaa?" 😅
To my mind, this is not primarily a BU individual storyline video. I see it as more of a philosophical reference point (which may or may not help with understanding the storylines).
There are obvious connections thematically to the other Wings videos but its main focus is on the ideas running through Demian, which mainly derive from Nietzsche and his belief that to be whole you have to learn to embrace both the good and evil within yourself - one is no use without the other. Hence the presence of Abraxas, the personification of good and evil united. The quote over the mirror is from Nietzsche, ‘one must still have Chaos within oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star’.
It’s about temptation, possibility and the act of choosing.
When you are done with this ir finished with the storyline you should watch GidKidDad's overview of the short films. It is amazing the research he did for it when it comes to how it connects to Damien. He has done Blood, Sweat and Tears yet but the short films were super interesting. If you do you should see if you can react to them, if you want to. But you should definitely watch it.
Also he does share his theory of how it also connects to the storyline to. Just to let you know.

The MV covers the change from adolescence to adulthood and the fall into temptation and losing innocence as you mentioned. It is inspired by Demian and there are theory/explanation vids about it.

@blondie5240 - Not sure if I've mentioned this yet, but I've enjoyed so much watching your vlogs waiting to purchase the tickets for PTD concert, was so excited & happy for you when you actually were able to get them, then enjoyed so so much watching your arrival to concert both days, and filming your view of the concert. Loved so much all your feedback from everything you you went through each day and felt your excitement by just hearing the one of the best detailed experiences. I really appreciated it.
So I thought you'd enjoy watching both these JIMIN focus Fancams all the more, because not only would you be able to relive some moments but also realize just how much of Jimin's amazingly phenomenol performance so many missed thanks to official cameras not filming him properly on the big screen.
Plus everyone know just how hard it is to follow JIMIN on stages, because more then any other member JIMIN makes a point of going always to all sides even far corners of stages where it's hard even for cameras to film him, just to be sure he gets to see in person even making eye contact with as many army as possible.
It's been said that if one would put red paint on bottom of Jimin's shoes, by end of night there wouldn't be part of the stage that wouldn't be covered with red paint!!

i don't wanna explain too much but you kept asking what's up with the apple so basically it's representing adam's apple I'm pretty sure. I'm sure you know the story of how eating the apple was a sin. which is why they are wearing all white(innocent) at the last supper scene and all they have at the table to eat is the apple. You were so close with connecting it with losing innocence/temptation though which were all accurate guesses.

Yeah that’s the tricky part of watching it in terms of it’s a BU video and just watching it not thinking of the BU. It’s definitely the most epic video I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched it tons of times since I filmed this video! For sure my favorite video of theirs!
