We got casper by good luck rather than good design . The squad is weaker than last season . Rodgers admitted last season he was short on quality. Failure to have 2 or 3 quality additions already in place is a scandal . We will not be signing any big signings.

Tino my god,,,your becoming a mixture of Radio Clyde and PLC spokesman,,I get you have to play devils advocate at times but my god,,Yes Celtic are successful domestically but they are run abysmally,every year at season ticket renewal they are quick to tell the support that we are an Elite club,a Champions league club,,well they should start behaving like one instead of relying on our manager to flick through his phone contacts for ex players he might be able to get,,,Schmeichel will be a great signing,,but the way we arrived at it was a joke,no planning behind it from a recruitment point of view,same with Idah,,both through the manager not a cohesive scouting Plan/network.

There is an attrition element to our players ,bear with me , getting hard tackles over and over . The Refs job ,in my opinion, is to manage that .Do you think he did ? Because I believe he did not. This is not so important for the game on Sunday,rather, tackles like that over the whole season , is my point. They give our players wee niggles at best , injuries that put them out for weeks at worst. Not acceptable,in any way ,call it out until it stops . Perhaps an old get moaning ,Hail Hail 🍀🍀

I totally agree with tino that lawell has no involvement in transfer business now but his austerity legacy is so ingrained in our entire financial workings and it's holding us back from improving I. Europe
The only solution I can see to the ongoing fans hatred of the board and owners is for the club to go 50+1 , that way the fans could have control over signing policies but more importantly budget of signing and , crucially, wage policy , my feeling is the reality of these processes would buckle the fans and see their hubris buried for good

If anyone is interested, go back and look at the signings of Nawrocki/Lagerbielke/Palma/Holm/Kuhn - Rodgers states in detail his involvement in them all, yet Mark Lawwell ultimately took the hit. Rodgers was under extreme pressure last season and in order to protect himself from the fans ire, threw shade at the Board/the recruitment - resulting in the removal of the Chairman's son. Do you think anyone is going to step into that recruitment breach now, knowing how Rodgers operates? Or, do you think the CEO/Chairman are going to put their reputations on the line for Brendan after that? This is not going to end well, IT NEVER DOES WITH BRENDAN. Paddy bemoans the fact that we relied on "the managers friendships" - at what point did procuring/targeting players stop being the remit of a manager? It's probably one of the top 2 requirements of a manager. Finally, I think it is naive to believe the first time we sounded Kasper Schmeichel out was a few weeks ago. Most likely he was approached well before then and said he didn't want to discuss it until after the Euros (a reasonable assumption) at which point Celtic returned to speak with him formally. Given that he is a Rodgers "friends" signing (lol) then couldn't you also ask why did Rodgers leave it so late to speak to him?? Paddy/James/Mif need to be more consistent/even handed in their analysis. It's too easy to just blame the Board. There are two sides to the story and Gucci Brendan is part of the problem.
