I don’t care, I just want something sly. I miss this franchise so much. Sly was my first game on the ps2 and it’s one of the games I kept coming back too growing up and the fact that the last game left on a cliffhanger and sat on for many years is excruciating.
All I want is Sly 5. I just want there to be some kind of ending to this franchise. Sly Cooper was the first videogame I played. I have grown up on sly and the gang since I was 4. If they were to just end the series on a cliffhanger my childhood would feel incomplete. I love this channel because I feel like there's not many hardcore sly fans out there. Watching these videos gives me hope for more sly in the future and gives me insight as to what's happening in the world of Sony. Thank you so much for making content like this and please don't ever stop!
YES! It was one of my first games on PS2 and I think one of the best story games created. There is a big emotional attachment to this series and the gang because of how well thought out the story is. They definitely need to end this series and cannot leave it hanging. I too, am a hardcore Sly fan and wish they would just give us something, because I think the game would sell to those people who grew up playing it. One of the greatest video game franchises.

If they reboot or reimagine the first game they HAVE to make it rated T. Sly has always had the most mature tone ane atmosphere out of all the platform protagonists and so I believe they should update the tone. Not saying there has to be buckets of blood or excessive swearing or sexual conduct or anything but it would be nice to see the death of sly's parents and see how that effected him growing up. It would be nice to not dance around the fact that crime isnt a squeaky clean subject that can easily be grasped by kids and that its ok to tell a more complex and character driven story that balances being fun and exciting but also being dark and dare I say ominous.
Really? I played this game growing up and that never crossed my mind. I always thought that would feel pretty awkward in the Sly Cooper universe. This is coming from someone who wouldn't mind an M-rated power rangers video game.
@@ThePhantomGamerForever think of it this way. If they reboot sly's story and start it from the first game have the death of his parents play out like a mission. Have it start with Sly and his dad training and having fun. Get to know sly's parents and then? Don't have it so sly gets 'dumped at the town orphanage' Have it where sly escapes his old home and he is found by the orphanage and the people who run it and have that be how he meets Murray and Bentley. And then just go on from there

It's simply a matter of giving a more in depth retelling of first. Sony might be okay with it getting a T-rating. The most we might get is a very hard e10 bordering on T. I think Sony got a lot of options, either bring a sequel/re-imaginin' on PS5, continue a movie or just go with the TV show, so I don't think it's a dead series at all, Sony might be figurin' out what fans want the most.

Okay I’m half and half on this ship also. If Sucker Punch wanted to redo Sly 4 I would be all for it but I commend Sanzaru for trying. They did an okay job but there were some things that definitely could’ve been left out or changed to make it more true and better.

This is certainly quite a lengthy video VIVI. I certainly wasn't expecting you to go in depths about this. But I definitely expected another sly cooper video nonetheless. Personally I think we could see sly on the ps5 but don't want to get my hopes up just yet...
Also if I'm being really honest with you, with the music for the world map in the MediEvil remake, it kind of feels off to me at times. I honestly much prefer the music in the ps1 original as it felt more unique to me. What do you think overall?

Maybe I missed it but you keep bringing up the TV show and how it's success could help/hurt but wasn't it supposed to come out in October, over a month ago now? And all the release dates were removed? And I can't find anything else on the TV show, wether being delayed or cancelled, seems weird to have nothing on it over a month after it was supposed to come out, great vid though!
The TV show was leaked to premiere in October 2019 yes. But, that was with the old production team, we feel PlayStation Productions, newly built department at Sony, is taking over thus explains the lack of updates since. Thanks for watching!
You know VIVI I gotta say too, I think it's really amazing how much you referenced crash and spyro in this video as well as MediEvil. Even though the overall video is about sly cooper. But personally I don't exactly consider MediEvil a cartoony type game. I consider it more an action type RPG as you choose which weapons you want in combat. Do you agree too?
Don't know if another collection is necessary considering PS5 supposedly may have backwards compatibility with (most) games from PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4, which means you could probably play the entire Sly series without getting a new collection.

I really can see a future for Sly. I'm just hoping that the people that are going to make Sly 5, make sure that the story goes completely to a different way they were going for Sly 4.
I think a Sly 5 would be awesome, I think Sanzaru should return to finish what they started. I think probably first to rerelease all the Sly games to test the waters and if that turns out good, then a sequel could easily be greenlit. The fact that Sly 4 heavily focused on Carmilita could be a cool plot point to expand upon among other stuff, heck a Carmilita starring spin off game would be awesome, her bustin heads, making arrests and getting closer to finding Sly, a interesting way to promote a potential Sly 5 in my opinion. :)

Sly Cooper is a PlayStation icon rooted in many people’s childhood. What made it so appealing over a decade ago is still appealing today. And with the right introduction to a new audience, be it a new console or form of media, I believe it can repeat its success. The main thing they don’t want to do is screw it up. However, the future of Sly Cooper is uncertain, more so than Ratchet and Clank, which is fairly certain, just a matter of when and what. Also whether or not we get more Crash Bandicoot or Spyro games is still up in the air. Ironically, the most certain future of our beloved PS Mascots is Jak and Daxter.....and that certainty is that the series is over besides the occasional port.

Instead of Sly 5 I hope they give Sly Cooper to Toys for Bob and reboots the entire franchise. I love the original trilogy and even thieves in time but I feel that a reboot would revive the franchise more Also: they missed the PS5 launch which would have been a insane boon to the series

I will buy a sly cooper collection remastered/remade/Reboot for PS5 .. but ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT PRE-ORDER... because of the "not on disc" trickery of the Spyro trilogy. then the new Sly 5 game will be the icing on the top.
Currently working on the Sly 5 Bible (Kind of like the Doom Bible). 19 playable characters, and Seven Episodes, and plus, you can play the ancestors in other Episodes after clearing the story.

I want this to be true. To see Sly get home and not be stranded in ancient Egypt. But really, I had given up on Sly 5. Cause it's 2019. The fact we're still getting no news on Sly 5 is ridiculous. Same goes for the show. We haven't heard anything yet of the new release date or if it'll be finished. To the point it'll probably be cancelled. I'm sorry to sound negative. But I just don't see Sly 5 happening, unless a trailer of it is show at a gaming convention in December. I heard there's suppose to be a gaming convention in December. So if Sly 5 were to finally happen, it be shown there. If it's not shown there, then that's when I'll be convinced Sly isn't getting a fifth game. Hopefully I'm wrong. Cause it be awesome to see Sly 5 be Sly's big comeback. And hopefully Sanzaru can make it. Cause I know they got lots of hate for causing that cliffhanger at the end of Sly 4. So so many thoughts going through my head. First and foremost: we need Sly 5!! I can’t imagine why it didn’t do so good. I loved that series. It was different, unique. The story was A plus material and the voice acting was gold. Two, just watching the game clips through your video I felt my muscle memory kick in and knew which buttons to press and I was like we better make sure that bear isn’t gonna maul us. Also the shark mission with Dimitri gave me PTSD Lolol I shivered. Seriously though, this was such a good series and is absolutely wanted/needed! (I have all the games, plus the bundle with all 3 on it).

There was a rumor about Sly 5 being announced at the game awards. At first, I thought nothing of it but if Yoshida liked that tweet just recently, that could make the rumor more close to truth.
What I think they should do is remaster the sly games to do two things One test out of old time fans want more sly cooper and two earn NEW fans of sly cooper think of it as a test run remaking the first four would be sort of a vote to see who wants sly 5 and the votes will be how well this game (s)sells
I thought of a rival group for the Cooper gang, Ronaldo (Rat)- The leader of the group, he would be a rival to Sly Cooper. He would carry a staff with a ruby diamond. He too would come from a long line, but a long line of mafia bosses. He doesn't want to follow that line and starts to hate his father, even though his dad wasn't telling him that Ronaldo had to. His parents would get killed by a guy that was hired by the main villain of my story. And the killer would take a gun that Ronaldo's dad was going to use to protect them. He was sent to an orphanage that he later meets his team. Nick "AKA, Rocko" (Rhino)- The bronze of the group, he would be a rival to Murray. He always prefers to be called Rocko instead of Nick, because he thinks his name is stupid. He was always an orphan at the orphanage, but when he meets Ronaldo they become great friends along with the next member... Lundi (Puffin)- The brains of the group, would be a rival to Bentley. He was also an orphan and always hang around with Rocko. He was always trusted by Ronaldo, and was Rocko's best friend. VTNVIVI, what do you think?

As for the ages for the group, Ronaldo would be 23 years old, Rocko would be 24, and Lundi would be 21. Basically they would be younger than the Cooper gang. With the success of platformers Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, I still have hope for Sly Cooper on the ps5. i kinda feel like the more talk about sly the more sony will notice that it has loyal fans regardless of the games outcome. like if i could i would buy the game 100 times to make the sales higher just for another sly game, its the only ps game i grew up with and play till this day. but all hope is not yet gone i hope!
I hope we get a remake of the trilogy with upgraded graphics that still stay true to the art style. Also 4K, 60FPS would be nice. Someone on the Sly Cooper sub-reddit had made a beautiful rendering of the graveyard area in Contessa's Castle, which can give you an idea of what it could look like
but vivi something else about kingdom hearts as well, mainly the second game, do think it's kind of stupid how the cutscene with axel and kairi, and her ending up in twilight town, played after you beat either agrabah or halloween town for the first time, depending on which one you do first, and not after you complete those two worlds, as well the pride lands too? cause as a kid I absolutely regretted it because I immediately went back there to be reunited with her, which obviously didn't happen because she got kidnapped again, and then hollow bastion was covered in darkness, so I immediately went there, and when I went to complete most of the worlds the second time too, mainly beast's castle and port royal, I just couldn't beat Xaldin or the grim reaper. it was so frustrating that I had to restart the game all over again. you can understand what I mean don't you?
I think maybe there should be a collection made by sanzaru that would include the original trilogy with improved graphics and then the sly 4 would have some collection-exclusive chapters so that sly would be saved
I personally feel a movie or show will never happen after so long I feel a remastered Collection with modern graphics and all 4 games would do wonders of the series

People are trying to get Funko Pop to make Sly figures. There's a recommendations page on their website where you can submit an idea. I know at least 50 people have submitted, so if more people submitted maybe the Funko Pop would be made. Which would show Sony that Sly is still profitable. A long-time fan of anything and everything sly cooper so my opinion is as follows. I would leave the series/never made movie :( alone for now. I agree with you that Sony should market Sly 5 with the release of their new console and depending on sales which shouldn't be an issue go from there into the movie/series medium. They could also couple the release of sly 5 with a remasted edition of the original sly games. But since we haven't heard so much as a fart in regards to sly 5 the future does seem ominous at best. Kind of 50/50 on this. I want them to properly give news updates regarding this franchise again. I want them to finish what they started with at least 1 more game or series. I feel that a comic might go unnoticed by a lot of fans as they are unable to get hold of said comics or even know if it does turn out this way. Or it could be that sony is done with this IP since they pretty much pulled the plug on the franchise after Sly 3. anything is possible at present. without any solid word about this from the developers this franchise will remain in limbo.
The TV show to me tells me Sony still has eyes on this IP, I won't lose hope. As for the comics, sure it'll look less I guess ''appealing'', but all it takes is good marketing.
Time travel is time travel, it can get quite daunting trying to avoid asking too many questions. There's certain story elements that need more work but overall, Sly 4 is great!
@@VtnVivi Yeah, felt they failed at displaing the archetype of the returning hero to some degree and there was all these weird coincidences that seemed so improbable. However, I did just watched through the cinematics, and it without a doubt has that sly vibe. I guess that sort of rescues it. Good video tho, I really enjoyed it.

Sly is sadly a niche title. With games costing more and more to produce Sly 4 on PS3 didn’t sell that well.

And all the release dates were removed? And I can't find anything else on the TV show, wether being delayed or cancelled, seems weird to have nothing on it over a month after it was supposed to come out, great vid though!
The TV show was leaked to premiere in October 2019 yes. But, that was with the old production team, we feel PlayStation Productions, newly built department at Sony, is taking over thus explains the lack of updates since. Thanks for watching!
You know VIVI I gotta say too, I think it's really amazing how much you referenced crash and spyro in this video as well as MediEvil. Even though the overall video is about sly cooper. But personally I don't exactly consider MediEvil a cartoony type game. I consider it more an action type RPG as you choose which weapons you want in combat. Do you agree too?

Don't know if another collection is necessary considering PS5 supposedly may have backwards compatibility with (most) games from PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4, which means you could probably play the entire Sly series without getting a new collection.

I really can see a future for Sly. I'm just hoping that the people that are going to make Sly 5, make sure that the story goes completely to a different way they were going for Sly 4.

I think a Sly 5 would be awesome, I think Sanzaru should return to finish what they started. I think probably first to rerelease all the Sly games to test the waters and if that turns out good, then a sequel could easily be greenlit. The fact that Sly 4 heavily focused on Carmilita could be a cool plot point to expand upon among other stuff, heck a Carmilita starring spin off game would be awesome, her bustin heads, making arrests and getting closer to finding Sly, a interesting way to promote a potential Sly 5 in my opinion. :)

Sly Cooper is a PlayStation icon rooted in many people’s childhood. What made it so appealing over a decade ago is still appealing today. And with the right introduction to a new audience, be it a new console or form of media, I believe it can repeat its success. The main thing they don’t want to do is screw it up. However, the future of Sly Cooper is uncertain, more so than Ratchet and Clank, which is fairly certain, just a matter of when and what. Also whether or not we get more Crash Bandicoot or Spyro games is still up in the air. Ironically, the most certain future of our beloved PS Mascots is Jak and Daxter.....and that certainty is that the series is over besides the occasional port.

I want this to be true. To see Sly get home and not be stranded in ancient Egypt. But really, I had given up on Sly 5. Cause it's 2019. The fact we're still getting no news on Sly 5 is ridiculous. Same goes for the show. We haven't heard anything yet of the new release date or if it'll be finished. To the point it'll probably be cancelled.
I'm sorry to sound negative. But I just don't see Sly 5 happening, unless a trailer of it is show at a gaming convention in December. I heard there's suppose to be a gaming convention in December. So if Sly 5 were to finally happen, it be shown there. If it's not shown there, then that's when I'll be convinced Sly isn't getting a fifth game.

So so many thoughts going through my head. First and foremost: we need Sly 5!! I can’t imagine why it didn’t do so good. I loved that series. It was different, unique. The story was A plus material and the voice acting was gold. Two, just watching the game clips through your video I felt my muscle memory kick in and knew which buttons to press and I was like we better make sure that bear isn’t gonna maul us. Also the shark mission with Dimitri gave me PTSD Lolol I shivered. Seriously though, this was such a good series and is absolutely wanted/needed! (I have all the games, plus the bundle with all 3 on it).

I thought of a rival group for the Cooper gang,
Ronaldo (Rat)- The leader of the group, he would be a rival to Sly Cooper. He would carry a staff with a ruby diamond. He too would come from a long line, but a long line of mafia bosses. He doesn't want to follow that line and starts to hate his father, even though his dad wasn't telling him that Ronaldo had to. His parents would get killed by a guy that was hired by the main villain of my story. And the killer would take a gun that Ronaldo's dad was going to use to protect them. He was sent to an orphanage that he later meets his team.
Nick "AKA, Rocko" (Rhino)- The bronze of the group, he would be a rival to Murray. He always prefers to be called Rocko instead of Nick, because he thinks his name is stupid. He was always an orphan at the orphanage, but when he meets Ronaldo they become great friends along with the next member...
Lundi (Puffin)- The brains of the group, would be a rival to Bentley. He was also an orphan and always hang around with Rocko. He was always trusted by Ronaldo, and was Rocko's best friend.

A remake of Sly 4 would be considered too recent. As for Sly 1, maybe a reboot could one day be considered.
Also I believe Spyro and crash sold so well cause people are tired of these stale and repetitive games they miss that creative yeah it’s cartoony but it actually had thought, fun gameplay, and story. Unlike today where everything’s a first person shorter and a zombie apocalypse horror game. I think it’s finally getting old and sly 4 probably just released at the wrong time if they released now it probably would of sold way better.

but vivi something else about kingdom hearts as well, mainly the second game, do think it's kind of stupid how the cutscene with axel and kairi, and her ending up in twilight town, played after you beat either agrabah or halloween town for the first time, depending on which one you do first, and not after you complete those two worlds, as well the pride lands too? cause as a kid I absolutely regretted it because I immediately went back there to be reunited with her, which obviously didn't happen because she got kidnapped again, and then hollow bastion was covered in darkness, so I immediately went there, and when I went to complete most of the worlds the second time too, mainly beast's castle and port royal, I just couldn't beat Xaldin or the grim reaper. it was so frustrating that I had to restart the game all over again. you can understand what I mean don't you?

People are trying to get Funko Pop to make Sly figures. There's a recommendations page on their website where you can submit an idea. I know at least 50 people have submitted, so if more people submitted maybe the Funko Pop would be made. Which would show Sony that Sly is still profitable. A long-time fan of anything and everything sly cooper so my opinion is as follows. I would leave the series/never made movie :( alone for now. I agree with you that Sony should market Sly 5 with the release of their new console and depending on sales which shouldn't be an issue go from there into the movie/series medium. They could also couple the release of sly 5 with a remasted edition of the original sly games. But since we haven't heard so much as a fart in regards to sly 5 the future does seem ominous at best. Kind of 50/50 on this. I want them to properly give news updates regarding this franchise again. I want them to finish what they started with at least 1 more game or series. I feel that a comic might go unnoticed by a lot of fans as they are unable to get hold of said comics or even know if it does turn out this way. Or it could be that sony is done with this IP since they pretty much pulled the plug on the franchise after Sly 3. anything is possible at present. without any solid word about this from the developers this franchise will remain in limbo.
The TV show to me tells me Sony still has eyes on this IP, I won't lose hope. As for the comics, sure it'll look less I guess ''appealing'', but all it takes is good marketing.

how do people feel about sly 4? Felt the story concept was a bit weak. Never played it tho.
Time travel is time travel, it can get quite daunting trying to avoid asking too many questions. There's certain story elements that need more work but overall, Sly 4 is great!
@@VtnVivi Yeah, felt they failed at displaing the archetype of the returning hero to some degree and there was all these weird coincidences that seemed so improbable. However, I did just watched through the cinematics, and it without a doubt has that sly vibe. I guess that sort of rescues it. Good video tho, I really enjoyed it.
Ive heard somewhere the idea that next gen consoles will have longer games. What about a remake the combines the story 1-4 and adds a proper end

Worlds is not confirmed yet. It could be a fake name...well it was the original name for Wrath Of cortex.
