For the application of the first and second coats, would you mix enough plaster for both coats - expecting the plaster to not harden in the bucket - or should you plan to mix two separate times, mixing what you expect to apply per coat?
When you install cement board above a tub and there is that little gap for the tub lip, about 1 inch-normally when I tile, I back fill and tile over this. I would like to try tadelakt but am not sure what to do with this area. What would be the best way to backfill/prep this strip to prep for a tadelakt finish?
Thank you for sharing these videos! I would love to use this in my bathroom around an existing tub. What do you recommend for sealing between the tub and the wall? Should there be a row of tile or something in between?
What is the process for using tadelakt over existing tile? Our home is over a century old and we didn’t want to disturb anything if we don’t absolutely have to.
Yes, in Morocco, they are starting with masonry substrates typically. Here we typically start with stud framed walls. There are lots of steps needed to prepare these types of wall systems to receive a system like tadelakt.
@@EarthausPlaster what if the entire home is Concrete since that's what we use in the Caribbean to build our homes. CEMENT, BLOCK & STEEL? Would the process be shorter as in less steps to follow? Where would we start from if we were to tadelakt on Concrete structures?

A row of tile works. or just a bead of clear silicone caulk.
Can this base layer be applied over a brown coat in the shower?

I hope you did not do this.
Seems it's a different process to what is done in Morocco.
