To my lost comrades-who were searching for a way to freely paint and erase brush strokes:
Shift + E for an eraser that is not restricted to strokes, paths or fill shapes. Works just like a normal eraser brush! (Remember to select the thing you're trying to clean up, otherwise it will affect the rest of the drawing)
Shift + B for the blob brush tool, B for regular paintbrush! Perhaps this too, can avoid your issue with erasing things in the first place.

Duuuude how do you remove the excess lines without deleting the entire line?
Edit: Solved! On the blob brush settings (just double click the blob brush on the tool bar) make sure the "Merge Only with Selection" option is turned on

why I can't find the "tilt" option in the blob brush tool options menu. Is it because I use a pen tablet with a non-wacom brand? i use xp-pen

Select the path with the Direct Selection Tool ( White Arrow ), then hit DELETE TWICE on your keyboard.
