Bit of a click bait headline--not at all how this video runs. I did find the disjuncture between the narrative and pictures pretty scandalous though--often showing totally different people from the ones being talked about--which felt pretty misleading at times. Also, the man and the art should never be confused, after all, Shakespeare only married Ann because he got her pregnant!
He always gave me the creeps. Something about him always made my stomach flip and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I do know why I always had such an aversion to him but It was always there.
@rachel-rb4bpIt was very easy to judge Arthur, he went through a lot with Marilyn and of course he won't tell everything to protect his and Marilyn's privacy, as usual it's always said that Arthur was a bad husband to Marilyn and that he didn't love her and that he took advantage of her, that's not true, no one really Know what happened behind closed doors
Marilyn seems to be into him a lot more than he is into her by the footage I see here. She was looking for stability and he was looking for a boost to his career. The second wife tells everything.....he was really looking for someone to help in career moves.
That's not really true, before Marilyn met Arthur he was more famous than her, he won awards and received a lot of respect because of it, he was a successful writer, Arthur loved Marilyn very much and Marilyn was also crazy about him, and they had problems in their marriage and it was very difficult for them, And it was hard for Arthur too, you don't know what it's like to live with an addict, it's true he wasn't the perfect husband but Marilyn wasn't an angel either, she could always leave and she didn't, it was her choice in the end
your narrative leaves out the fact that he took over her life and managed her career into the ground while she paid for him yet you keep insisting it was HER mental problems and not his jealousy

He was a narcisstic piece of work
Like most, if not all, men in Marilyn life, he wanted the fantasy, not a real woman with a past, with weaknesses
So sad

To bad it didn't work out with Joe Dimaggio. He seemed to care about her

He used her, he disparaged her, he undermined her, and ultimately destroyed her.
I think he didn't really love Marylin. He just used her to become famous and sell his books
