Nice lesson in beginning watercolor. Just a suggestion...watercolor brushes should not be left in the water jar because it will bend and ruin the points, which are important in watercolor painting. And if the water is very deep, it can get into the ferrule of the brush and cause it to become loose.
Rinse the color out of you brush and then lay your brush flat on a cloth or paper towel while you are not using it. Then it will be ready when you need to use it again while you are working on a particular piece.
These brushes are fin while I'm working on the project. I store them out of the water while not working. i've been using these same brushes for 4 years like this and they are really just fine. More durable than people think.
@@Yokeandabundance Sorry, just trying to be helpful for your audience. I have taught watercolor for years, and this is the advice I give my students. Regards!
I stumbled on your page and it’s amazing.
I got a water color set yesterday and your page might just be the motivation I needed 🫶🏽
I’m self learning art and I’m very excited to try water color as a medium
I am so glad to hear that and so glad you're here!! If you have questions about anything please let me know!
What is the tracing light that you’re using???
Actually, I had all of the lights in my office off for this recording. The lamp that was holding my phone up was not on. I use carbon paper for tracing in watercolor, but I didn't do any tracing in this video. The light is a canvas light www.shopcanvas.co/products/pre-order-classic-canvas-lamp-with-wooden-base-ships-by-august-11?variant=40801927594153¤cy=USD&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwv7O0BhDwARIsAC0sjWOUvQAGvu8x95Jj723ea3ZFsjkEHfeHn05-CbHhRx-DuZaxQ-_gcPEaAnfGEALw_wcB
