Jim McCann - I Loved The Ground She Walked Upon

Jim McCann was a member of The Dubliners from 1974 to 1979. Returning to his solo career he had a huge hit with the song ‘Grace’ and released an album of love songs by the same name. This is one of the songs taken from that album. It was written by Ralph McTell and Phil Coulter.

I was on that boat when he recorded that. I remember a singing bearded man on the shore in the distance who turned out be Mr. McCann. Jim has great sound considering he was outside with no mic close to his mouth. But that's why he's known as Jim mic can instead of Jim mic can't. The back story was we on the boat had to go back to port 5 times as Jim needed 5 takes to get the right angle and he kept forgetting the words. The outtakes reel is hilarious.
