These are so cute! I agree, with a white pair of tennis shoes, adorable! Kids would love these! In the 80’s, as a teenager, we would’ve loved these! These would be great to wrap kids presents with! Also you can sew headbands with scrap fabric!
What an absolute nifty idea! Lord only knows how many strips of fabric like that I have thrown out because I didn't want to get into quilting with them. Now I can have fancy shoelaces!

Just about anything works, but I like cotton fabric best.
