That one block change was a trip . Wow what a difference. City councils are like fuck the other side, everyone for themselves. Eventually it will spread if it doesn’t get fixed and certain cities will now be known as abandoned cities, purge cities.

Pre depression there used to be a hobo culture. A system was developed so that there was no crushing poverty. Now its come back and its way worse and the rich own/run the country and the depravity is so ingrained it would take drastic upheaval to renormalize. Effectively the end of what the american lifestyle used to be. The end of america.

    Those are Newsomevilles

Blaming Newsome doesn't fix it. My friend lived in Hollywood in the 80's. He said street crews would come through, tell the bums to move, and wash the boulevard. The next morning same thing, the bums were back. This isn't because of Newsome. He would love to fix this problem. Finding someone to blame is much easier than actually addressing the issue. That is what has been going on in America for ages. We need more than a good governor to bring California into shape.

@@jond.2868 you nailed it right on the head. as a young person trying to educate myself about the state of my country i can tell you it is INCREDIBLY annoying, trudging through miles of poisonous crap on BOTH sides, just to arrive at what is usually just an uncomfortable truth neither side wishes to openly accept.
like there are probably responsible ways to balance the national budget with social welfare, but people are so divided that they dont see an opponent to work with, they see only an enemy to play their neverending blame game with. really devalues the value of the rhetoric itself when its reduced to cheap knee-jerk identity politics. frustrating that this has coincided with horrible journalism practices garbling the truth further and worsening the cultural divide. but as certain folks would say, "its not a bug- its a feature !"
but hey what the hell. ppl gonna be ppl and its a helluva lot more fun to blame the bad guy anyway lol

No one chooses to be homeless. Be careful, at your age, you could end up being one of them one day. You really never know. The homeless come from all walks of life. Some of those homeless people have degrees, plenty of them had professional employment or otherwise good jobs at one time, nurses, attorneys, laid off construction workers, probably even a doctor or two. You know, young man, I see your moral indignation but you are the kind of guy that doesn't seem to have any empathy. You can see property values but not the human misery that comes from the economic and political policy making that our unscrupulous politicians shove down our throats. Homelessness is a complex issue. First of all, not all homeless people are drug addicts and/or "Crazies." There are addicts and crazies but you pretty much have to do some drugs and/or alcohol at least to keep from becoming one of the crazies. The actual crazies were either crazy before they became homeless or, homelessness drove them crazy, pushed them straight over the edge. Most people just aren't cut out to survive homelessness. They don't have the survival skills, they don't have the chops for it. I've seen people go feral within a week of becoming homeless, walking around shoeless, filthy, stinking and crazy when they were completely normal at the start of their homeless experience. It's extraordinarily difficult to survive homelessness, physically and/ or mentally. Life is little more than a guessing game. Every decision you make is nothing other than a coin toss. You will never be able to calculate uncountable, evolving variables You will never have enough information. Oscar Wilde said something about this. Homelessness is not nearly the picnic that the prevailing propaganda makes it out to be.

"Would you feel safe?" - Yeah because crime only comes from the homeless. -_-
"Women can get cornered." - Yeah because crime only hits women. -_-
