Setting up the Melnor 4-Zone Bluetooth Water Timer and App

I made a quick video about the Melnor 4-Zone Bluetooth Water Timer and App. With one of these in your garden, you can easily schedule the Water Timer to water specific areas of your garden at specific times. It's perfect if you're a busy person that wants to grow their own food at home. Control the watering with a few swipes on the app.
I'm using it in my upcycled garden and growing tons of fresh vegetables.

Does the programming works while you are out of town? Or, do you have to have your smart phone within 30 feet so that the devices activate?

You have to be near it, within Bluetooth range to program it. You can not program it remotely. That would require WiFi and most people don't have strong Wi-Fi outdoors.

​@@handyandymediaI am wondering after you have programmed it and set the start times for each zone, does it need your phone to be within bluetooth range when it's watering time? I am thinking of when I am out of town and want this to still water my lawn without my phone being near it.

Can you turn off and on a zone manually with the app!

Yes but not remotely. You have to be within Bluetooth range because this unit does not connect to the Wi-Fi network
