Ste for the love of god, tell him the truth. He needs honesty right now, sure it will hurt and mess with him. But John Paul will be more hurt if he finds out later down the line.
I understand why Ste wants to hide what he did, but I am not so sure it would hurt more down the road. This is a show so they will probably choose the most dramatic way possible for the truth to come out and hence most painful, but if it were real life I would do the same as Ste. John Paul is reeeeally vulnerable right now and finding out that the person he loves most cheated on him when he was going through a rape trial could send him over the edge.
Emiliz Roman True, John Paul is very vulnerable at the moment. And I do worry for him, especially when he tried to take back his statement. This trial is going to put him through the wringer, but he need to do it or it will haunt him. He needs the people he loves and trust around him if he's gonna get through this. But I think finding out down the line about Sinead will do more harm than good. Maybe it will backtrack all the work he's done and sent him back spiraling into a dark place. I do think since this is a soap, he will find out in the most shocking and drama filled way as well. Like they will make Sinead pregnant and she won't know if it's Ste's or Tony's baby.
I don't blame Diane. Most people would struggle to believe that their child was capable of something like that. However, it is strange that she is so quick to defend Finn when she was so willing to believe that Sinead would hurt Katy. She is probably overcompensating for the fact that Finn is adopted. Edit: I only recently realised that Sinead was adopted too. I didn't think anyone could forgive their daughter sleeping with their husband, let alone an adopted one.

I completely agree.
