Dude, what a breakdown. This is my first time finding your channel, and I learned a ton in only two plays. And it’s so exciting seeing just how good we’ve been playing as of late. Good shit! I would pay for more bears defense breakdowns, feels nobody is does our defense

Nate, why did you mention Raji... You couldn't have just edited that out? Your dad was on that staff!
That being said, I love these segments and the editing. Keep it going!

I loved the defense that the Bears played on Sunday. They really only got beat on plays a couple of times. They did get beat by players a few times, though, but overall, it was so much fun to watch, I watched it three times so far.

It's 4.50 seconds in and you are still talking about play that you won't show, this is maddening.

So when they were out of position, Jared didn't call the motion he literally waited until the bears defender switch sides of the field and lined up before he called his wide receiver in motion Jared should have called that motion when they were not set and that is our problem with him, waiting hike the ball when the other team is out of position, he literally waited for the bears player to flip to the opposite field and just watched him do it.

Good, clear assessment again. Despite that everyone thinks Ben Johnson is a great OC, every time I see people show me why, it looks exactly like this: like just switching assignments can completely undermine them. With small adjustments.
Don't get me wrong, at least he thinks about his plays & why they (should) fool defenses. Many OCs just call what they like, not what's best for the team, & his highly-structured concepts suit Goff & St-Brown extremely well. But it only seems Truly Great when it works, which is the same for everyone.
I don't know if this makes me hope he doesn't become an HC. Part of me thinks that he could be better at that than OC, if that makes any sense.
He's highly structured. So maybe having more responsibility is what he works best with?

11.26 jamo should have went up the middle instead of turning into the same route as the receiver behind him.

I get where you can see that. But that’s essentially throwing into double coverage with Eddie still on him and brisker in other deep zone. Also having 2 wrs release to the same boundary area gives your qb 2 targets to look for simultaneously and they are generally just safer throws. Route concepts are good I think, bears dbs just locked them down 🐻 ⬇️

Nah dude that's what Da Bears did to themselves in Detroit. Chicago simply handed The Lions their ass in Soldier Field. 😊

Here's what I *_think_* may have been going on with the Bears since 'Flus & Getsy got there. Every time they changed _one facet of_ the offense, they pretty much blew up _EVERY_ facet of it. When they went from stretching the field in '21 to basic Run X3 then toss a slant, they didn't still sometimes throw down the field. Then when they added designed QB runs, they dropped the rest of their run game. This preseason, two slants tossed by Fields became TDs through YAC. Then what happened?
They not only came out the 1st 2 weeks throwing nothing but slants, they completely abandoned the designed QB runs. This smells to me like a child playing video game football who got tired of the last plays entirely & wants _only_ to try new ones.
Either Getsy himself can't juggle two sets of ideas at once or an overbearing HC breathing down the neck of an OC asking him why he's keeping ANY of the previous plays? I'm guessing of course. But since they picked up Montez Sweat, it seems like Eberflus has been focused on the defense, & Getsy, while he hasn't been terribly "inventive" yet has gotten two consistent performances in two different games using two completely sets of plays for Flores than against the Lions & *Fields stayed **_focused!!!_* I think that due to pressure from above to Fix Fields, every time Getsy wasn't around, Eberflus confused Fields as to wtf they wanted from him & now that 'Flus is busy with the defense that things should improve on offense as well _IF_ 'Flus stays out of Getsy's way.
That's my theory. Anyone got a better one?

They gutted the team last year on offense and defense cause half the WR last year were cast offs and the best player was a 5th rounder in Mooney. The offensive line was made up of cast offs and late round picks cause the prior regime didn't fill the needs and traded away too many picks. We watched a more or less talent void offense rely on a good but flawed QB in Fields to essentially win us the game. The Defense was traded away so they could sign new players and start to fill up that side of the ball. They have tinkered with the offense and found a Lamar type of style that Fields let the team on offense to be the 4th highest scoring offense under him the second half of the prior season. Pairing that performance with the worst scoring defense in the league last year your not winning many games. We filled half the holes this past off season and with the Sweat trade a lot of the defense is back to being very good in the starters but limited on the depth. The offensive line still needs a center as we have one that struggles snapping the ball but is better than the one that was pushed on his butt because he wasn't strong enough to play the position. DJ Moore is a WR1 option but when you look at good teams they all have 3 or more players that are as good or better than DJ Moore for their QBs to work with. Most people are looking at Fields from the perspective that he needs to dominate with little talent around him which really nobody in the NFL does. Burrow had 3 WR who are WR1 quality players in the NFL. We should wait to see how Justin does with talent around him. If he is holding the team back then we replace him but stop the pitch forks for him since he has been our offense the last 2 years. Whatever you want to say about consistency we score a lot more points with him. Difference recently is that the Sweat trade filled in the last hole on the starters for the team. We just need depth on that side of the ball now but because the defense is now playing well we are winning. Part of the issues on the defensive side of the ball is the type of defense flus wanted to play. He didn't stunt or blitz and that means you expect your dline to get to the quarterback regularly. This style of play requires superior athletes on the dline which we didn't have. Getsy is trying things but part of the issue from listening to a DJ Moore interview is that Getsy doesn't give Fields the ability to change his plays outside of run pass. If both plays are flops for the defense being run we then put the blame on Justin when it is partly on Getsy putting him in a position to fail.
