Thanks for the great work Steve
This is great stuff Steve
If a Student is Proficient in ALL Skills - I will have a 5 for that student. That student is ready for testing. Outstanding Students - I know 100% that they are really good. Have any of my outstanding Students FAILED? YES but passed on the second try. NERVES can get the best of everyone.
Trucker Steve, in regards to spacial awareness with your front bumper and what’s in front you, how do we know when we are clear and won’t hit anything and when we are really close and more than likely will hit something?
@@psychostubbs9290 Your question if I am right is not about any skill test.
Coming to an intersection with a WHITE LINE, as soon as the white line disappears - I will stop 🛑.
Coming to a stop behind vehicles in front of you, I want to stop about 10 feet in front. Some say “when the tires of the vehicle in front of you disappears, Stop.” Sorry, you are in a tractor trailer and if if you need to get around the vehicle - You need SPACE!
On turns, if your mirrors are properly adjusted, you should never hit or run over a curve. You should never hit what you can SEE!
It is so important for CDL schools to make sure students are driving on a public road 10 Hours or more. One road trip should be 1 1/2 hours of highway - city - urban areas.
@@truckerstevecdlinstructor Also, can an examiner have it where a student can never get their CDL, or limit where they can get it? I remember an examiner telling me had the power to do that, and how a state auditor did it to a student that became threatening to him due to him not being passed.
@@psychostubbs9290 NO. I cannot threaten anyone taking a CDL test . If a student would give me a hard time, there next test will be with another examiner. If they keep up bad behavior, the test will be delayed until further evaluation.
@@truckerstevecdlinstructor It just seems hard to get scheduled here in Ohio. Which made that question come to mind if an examiner or someone from the state had the power to just prevent a person from getting their CDL, for what ever reason that may be.
Love this video great stuff trucker Steve 🎉❤
