I wanna preface this by saying I will still be a fan. As long as the quality of content is still good ill keep watching. But, the whole Troy Baker, Nolan North thing together is more of a big deal because its the 2 biggest voice actors working together. Not just because of Uncharted 4. Their dynamic is amazing. Even before they worked together I feel like their names were synonymous with one another. I'm super bummed that we don't get to see Magni and Modhi together playing games and shooting the shit. But, Nolan is basically a comedian and oozing charisma so I'm sure the show will be just fine.
I was gonna hit the like button, then I remembered I never get to play the PSV Uncharted game. Just looked it up. It's called Uncharted: Golden Abyss. (EDIT: PSV, not PSP)
It would’ve been cool if we had a moment where Nate, Sully, Chloe, Elena, and Cutter were all together. I appreciate the focus on family in 4, but yeah I missed Chloe and Cutter. Imagine if Elena had called those two to come help when she and Sully were heading to Libertalia. Would’ve taken awhile for the events of the game but still.

The games industry is seriously sleeping on Hennig right now. She's seriously one of the greats, among those that should be celebrated like Kojima or Reji. A studio's gotta pick her up.

Another game like Star Wars 1313 bites the dust. You know Neil Druckman got Amy kicked off Uncharted 4 also. She was 8 months of development into it. Neil just got a bunch of clout from TLOU & started to gain more narrative & creative control over the direction if ND games. He scrapped huge parts of her story. He scrapped all the mo-cap, which resulted in actors quitting. And changed a couple characters because "not enough females." I wish Amy would get the opportunity to make more narrative driven & big games like Uncharted. I think she's at some VR developer right now.

I find it very refreshing to have the voice actors actually get together and talk about their old work in this way, because they really seem to enjoy the memories they did there. I find it, more often than not, actors don't get that much into their own work that way.

I'm glad that Retro Replay will continue onward. Nolan is much more of a host type personality. It'll be interesting to see where this goes. That being said, I wasn't a huge Troy fan. He grew on me, but I got sucked in to this channel simply by Nolan's charisma, voices, and comedy.
Amy Hennig is amazing but if you are just another person jumping on the TLOU II hate bandwagon before the game is even released, I don't think know she was involved with the original TLOU.
@@weaverquest Buddy, you don't know that. Yeah she didn't work on TLOU, so what? He might feel that way about her and the studio. I do. Im not jumping on any bandwagon, I've always felt this way. It was a big deal when she left back in 2014. I'd been following her career and was pretty upset. Later, in Jason Schreier's book where he interviewed many Naughty Dog employees, it came out that she was essentially pushed out of the company very suddenly. There was a meeting with higher ups and then she was gone the same day. They had already shot and recorded 8 months of work on cutscenes. There is good reason to be upset at her departure and given Naughty Dog's body of work since, one can easily make the argument that something is missing from the studio - and in many people's opinion, its her.

If it's true she was pushed out by upper management that sounds very disrespectful and unfortunate but she clearly taught and left behind a very talented group of developers doing amazing work. I love both Uncharted 4 and TLOU as well. But those games are so tonally different than Amy's Uncharted trilogy. For TLOU that makes total sense. But for Uncharted's last outing ( a decision that was made by Neil and Bruce immediately after Amy left by the way, she thought there were more stories to tell still) I was still frustrated throughout that game. It was so much more self serious. It lacked a kineticism, a certain momentum, sense of fun and a style that was so present in 1,2, and 3. It's clear her influence was gone and that the heads of TLOU influence was present. Which makes sense, different creatives have different visions. But ND are still technical wizards, and extremely competent game makers. I haven;'t read TLOU 2 spoilers, I'm withholding judgement. I'm not saying ND is dead, just saying it isn't the SAME without Amy and I miss her work dearly. Totally with you on her cancelled Star Wars project, that really sucks for her after what happened at ND.

I don't know if anyone would comment about Robin, but my goodness, he's the only person that's quite different than anyone else. First off, he's wearing a suit, while drinking a martini, in his recording studio. Second, he changed his background to an overview cloudy San Francisco bridge (or whatever that bridge is) Third, his screen went horizontal. I'm LITERALLY lost at everything he does and I can't stop laughing even as I'm typing this. Robin, seriously, get it together. I'm dying out here. LOL!

Thank you to these wonderful people who gave life to the iconic characters we all love, except (Robin is right...everyone hates Talbot!) Was such a blast to have the Uncharted family all together for this, was so funny and heartwarming. I'm looking forward to the U3 playthrough, hope we have Richard along when it comes to young Nate and Sully, love those scenes.
Still my favorite trilogy of games. I did enjoy part 4 but for mine it was an unneeded sequel. The trilogy under the legendary Amy Hennig remains my favorite. So good to see them all together again.
I did like #4 as well. But mostly the game play. I didn't quite get why they would end such brilliant characters that way. There was still so much they could explore with Nate & Elena instead of the semi retirement/parent thing. Even Sam & Sully could have more stories. I did like Sam as a character.
Everytime I see Noland and Emily interact, My brain keeps thinking they're a couple because of Uncharted. Like this moment 14:3534:2035:35 She's like "yeah, that's the goofball I married."
I remeber my very first uncharted game was 3 it came in a bundle with the ps3 slim and it was my very first ps3 game. I did not know anything about this game but man was i blown the hell away by how amazing the game was . Years later when they release The Nathan drake collection on the ps4 and i finally got around to playing 1 and 2 for the first time . I sat and played the 1st game in one sitting and played the 2nd one in onr sitting as well and i was immersed and invested in the story and characters it was unlike any games ive played before and I felt i was in massive epic journey and i didnt want it to it to end . It was definitely one of the best experiences ive ever had as a gamer . Truly an iconic epic franchise and one of playstation's pillars . Much love to the cast and amy henig and the og naughty dog developers for making these games happen.

I wanted to thank all your team at Retro Replay, for making me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes. I've been a big fan of the channel since the start. Nolan North, Troy Baker, Amy Heneghan, Emily Rose, Robin Atkin, Richard, Claudia, Graham etc. You guys made in incredible product. That has stood the test of time. You can tell even today. Naughty dog was a different studio back then. I'm sure your enthusiasm and riffing off one another had the directors and other staff members cracking up. Maybe a little frustrated if Amy's facial expressions on the stream are any indication. But none the less. The series is definitely one of my favourite I.Ps. I hope you guys are all doing well in these strange times. I'm looking forward to next weeks show. Hopefully Things will return to normal posthaste. The Uncharted franchise is one of those video game franchises that’s gotten me through a lot of rough patches in my life. Still does till this very day. Which is why I still play the games a lot. I played it non stop during the Pandemic.

Guys, this was the single greatest episode of Retro Replay EVER. Uncharted 3 is the greatest game, and this is the greatest cast!! I loved how Amy Hennig came in to the call and she immediately started roasting people, and then at one point everyone was either dying of laughter or holding their heads and Claudia was about two minutes away from burning her trailer.. Yes, this is what I came here for! A big thanks to Retro Replay and Nolan for bringing these people back together!! Also when Richard started using the Scully voice.. I was not the only one getting the chills, right?
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! My wife and I just LOVE you! I was playing one of the old Assassin's Creed the other day and my wife, who has played all Uncharted games (except The Lost Legacy) and no AC ones, promptly recognized Nolan's voice coming from Desmond.

I'm glad that Retro Replay will continue onward. Nolan is much more of a host type personality. It'll be interesting to see where this goes. That being said, I wasn't a huge Troy fan. He grew on me, but I got sucked in to this channel simply by Nolan's charisma, voices, and comedy.

Amy Hennig is amazing but if you are just another person jumping on the TLOU II hate bandwagon before the game is even released, I don't think know she was involved with the original TLOU.
@@weaverquest Buddy, you don't know that. Yeah she didn't work on TLOU, so what? He might feel that way about her and the studio. I do. Im not jumping on any bandwagon, I've always felt this way. It was a big deal when she left back in 2014. I'd been following her career and was pretty upset. Later, in Jason Schreier's book where he interviewed many Naughty Dog employees, it came out that she was essentially pushed out of the company very suddenly. There was a meeting with higher ups and then she was gone the same day. They had already shot and recorded 8 months of work on cutscenes. There is good reason to be upset at her departure and given Naughty Dog's body of work since, one can easily make the argument that something is missing from the studio - and in many people's opinion, its her.
@@Geosync2323 Well I really love TLOU and Uncharted 4 so I can't agree with something missing from the studio sentiment. If it's true she was pushed out by upper management that sounds very disrespectful and unfortunate but she clearly taught and left behind a very talented group of developers doing amazing work. I would be more upset about EA canceling her Star Wars project and the fact that publishers aren't supporting the types of story-driven AAA games Amy Hennig likes to work on anymore.

And when I say that something was missing from them since she left, I don't necessarily mean quality. I love both Uncharted 4 and TLOU as well. But those games are so tonally different than Amy's Uncharted trilogy. For TLOU that makes total sense. But for Uncharted's last outing ( a decision that was made by Neil and Bruce immediately after Amy left by the way, she thought there were more stories to tell still) I was still frustrated throughout that game. It was so much more self serious. It lacked a kineticism, a certain momentum, sense of fun and a style that was so present in 1,2, and 3. It's clear her influence was gone and that the heads of TLOU influence was present. Which makes sense, different creatives have different visions. But ND are still technical wizards, and extremely competent game makers. I haven;'t read TLOU 2 spoilers, I'm withholding judgement. I'm not saying ND is dead, just saying it isn't the SAME without Amy and I miss her work dearly. Totally with you on her cancelled Star Wars project, that really sucks for her after what happened at ND.

Still my favorite trilogy of games. I did enjoy part 4 but for mine it was an unneeded sequel. The trilogy under the legendary Amy Hennig remains my favorite. So good to see them all together again.
I did like #4 as well. But mostly the game play. I didn't quite get why they would end such brilliant characters that way. There was still so much they could explore with Nate & Elena instead of the semi retirement/parent thing. Even Sam & Sully could have more stories. I did like Sam as a character.

I remeber my very first uncharted game was 3 it came in a bundle with the ps3 slim and it was my very first ps3 game. I did not know anything about this game but man was i blown the hell away by how amazing the game was . Years later when they release The Nathan drake collection on the ps4 and i finally got around to playing 1 and 2 for the first time . I sat and played the 1st game in one sitting and played the 2nd one in onr sitting as well and i was immersed and invested in the story and characters it was unlike any games ive played before and I felt i was in massive epic journey and i didnt want it to it to end . It was definitely one of the best experiences ive ever had as a gamer . Truly an iconic epic franchise and one of playstation's pillars . Much love to the cast and amy henig and the og naughty dog developers for making these games happen.
everything Richard says just makes me wanna cry because it reminds me of how much the story was great and gorgeous and its connect me to every single memory ive made in the last 7 years (when life was good).
I wanted to thank all your team at Retro Replay, for making me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes. I've been a big fan of the channel since the start. Nolan North, Troy Baker, Amy Heneghan, Emily Rose, Robin Atkin, Richard, Claudia, Graham etc. You guys made in incredible product. That has stood the test of time. You can tell even today. Naughty dog was a different studio back then. I'm sure your enthusiasm and riffing off one another had the directors and other staff members cracking up. Maybe a little frustrated if Amy's facial expressions on the stream are any indication. But none the less. The series is definitely one of my favourite I.Ps. I hope you guys are all doing well in these strange times. I'm looking forward to next weeks show. Hopefully Things will return to normal posthaste. The Uncharted franchise is one of those video game franchises that’s gotten me through a lot of rough patches in my life. Still does till this very day. Which is why I still play the games a lot. I played it non stop during the Pandemic.

Guys, this was the single greatest episode of Retro Replay EVER. Uncharted 3 is the greatest game, and this is the greatest cast!! I loved how Amy Hennig came in to the call and she immediately started roasting people, and then at one point everyone was either dying of laughter or holding their heads and Claudia was about two minutes away from burning her trailer.. Yes, this is what I came here for! A big thanks to Retro Replay and Nolan for bringing these people back together!!

By far my favorite Retro Replay video. Made me smile the same as it did 10 years ago when I was a kid
Such a close unit of likeminded, interesting witty people. No wonder the Uncharted series was such a success with these wonderful people involved. This was such a great tonic during quarantine.
