had me in the first half of the song but as soon as the bridge started asking Almighty God "what can't you do for me?" i was out. what an entitled and selfish view of the gospel. IT'S NOT ABOUT US. He has already done everything for us.
it's rhetorical and it's meant to remind yourself of that truth exactly, that He has already done it all and there is nothing He can't do for me as far as freedom in Him goes. :)
it's still very self focused. do you think that when we see the glory of God with our eyes we will be thinking "what can't He do for me?" No. That's not the proper response to His holiness. the Israelites responded in awe and wonder and said "God is my father and I will exalt Him. He has thrown chariot and horse into the sea!" Honoring God himself not what God can do for them. There's so many better lines that could have filled that spot.
