Here in the Panhandle of Texas at times that is all there is. Glad to see the hydraulic mill, definitely adds a lot of value to your wife's labor. Now you can cant work the circle and let her dimension concurrently and finish faster
Great seeing how y'all work together, y'all remind me of my wife and myself she always has been right there helping me work we are in our sixties now been married 43 years and we still work together , that's what we are supposed to do , God Bless you both.
When I hung KD or Green wood siding, I only put one nail per board/stud at the bottom with the nail just clearing the top edge of the lapped board. I had no splitting...lol, well not as much.😄
The dark hair is fine. It looks great on you, Brittany. You youngsters are quite a team and I like what you've said before about choosing your best friend for a spouse. May God bless you always.
That burned area on the log is called "alligator skin". And if you will put roofing tar on the part of the post that will be below ground it will last longer.
Lookin good and loved the way the LT40 runs. Brit runs it like she was born doing it. Way to go. Going to eat. On Chickens, if you were here the coyotes would have a hayday with them. Later.
Good afternoon guys , back in the days they built with green lumber all the time I let mine dry but that create other problem some of your wood will bow curve twist warp so sometime it is better to built with green lumber you hand up with less reject but you got to deal with the shrinking so witch one is best it is up to your preference have a great day
There ain't nothin wrong with usin green wood. I built my barn out of primarily green wood and it's been around for eleven years now when I got started on it. It's been a bit of a slow process because I done most of it by myself. Enjoyed the video y'all.
Take a look around the countryside and you will find many buildings built with green lumber generations ago. Any chicken that complains can easily become next sundays dinner.😉
Cool project! I've seen some people use live edge boards like that. It's a pretty cool look.I like working with green lumber myself. I'm a fan of board and batten. I use a lot of clamps to hold things because I don't have a Brit! haha!
Hey Tyler and Brittany. This is Jeff from Lebanon PA. Today is my birthday so I guess Brittany is a Sagittarius also. I 4get exactly when her birthday video was. I'm 66 and my girlfriend says I'm senile 😂😂😂😂. Am trying 2 watch all your posts. Have a great holiday season and bless you both.
Great video and I love the music. It sounds familiar but I can’t think of the song title. Help me! Brittany, you cut that long into boards like the pro you are. Be careful and don’t hurt his ego. Lol
I really enjoy your videos. My experience is based on milling wood in an enclosed space but why no hearing or eye protection? I also always used a respirator or mask because I have known people to develop allergies to specific types of wood dust.
Nails will hold very tight in green wood. One thing with screws though, you can come back later and reclaim them. Just be sure to replace the holding mechanism with nails, dowels, or other fasteners. I have built green outdoor furniture where I initially screw the joints together. Then later return and reclaim the screw and replace with a dowel. Makes super strong joints, very inexpensive.
Government wants you to buy kiln dried lumber. Air dried lumber is way harder to break. Facts. Karate folks don't chop air dried lumber with their hands. Tells you everything you need to know
I absolutely love the music. More music like that please. I was expecting to see chicken wire. Great looking job.
Thanks! I thought you guys would like the music!
Looking good.

That hydraulic mill is awesome and the brown hair is as well! Great work guys.
The chicks will like their new house.

Trick is to put the siding nail right above the piece below it so that only one nail is in the board, then it can shrink without splitting.
Awesome video ! Looks like a really nice project . Looking forward to seeing it finished /
that girl is so pretty
Those logs are huge for eastern cedar! Must have taken many years to grow those trees. I’ll bet the scent when you sawed them was delightful!

You're welcome!
If I can say so, Brittany looks very good with her natural hair

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Do ya'll hatch or eat the eggs? I canceled 2 other logging and sawmill subscriptions, because ya'll are awesome. Keep on sawing. 🤠🤠👍👍
Enjoyed working with green wood. Are the siding boards 1" x 12" pine
Yes they are! Good eye!
What brand of auger was that? Does it work well? I
what that slipping the belt about ? my old house was built with rough sawed oak ,could not get a nail in it .
Char
The word I couldn’t find lol
Could the LT-40 have a seat attached to the carriage by the controls so that Brittany could ride when sawing wood?
did my wood shed the same way . How hard was the burnt wood on the saw blades ?
Not hard at all!
Was wondering about the raptor sounds in the background and how that plays into the chicken business……..
I am a falconer. I own both hawks and chickens lol
wow, wow, wow, at least one is restricted. good going!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill
mmmm her blue eyes
Does your sinuses ever feel like it gets clogged up with Is saw dust
Just cedar. Pine seems to be heavier and not be as air born.
Much Much better background music and great save on chard logs where did your blonde wife go ?
Traded her in lol
@@wallacefarmandsawmill ok Dark brown is not her color !
Screws are expensive. Nails are far cheaper!
Indeed! However, screws are superior in green wood. To avoid pulling.
@@wallacefarmandsawmill
Bronze screws would be expensive looks great
So right about using screws in this application, especially coated deck screws.
