    12:15. On children education. As a young man, with a younger brother, with parents who want to send him to expensive schools. I have been trying to figure out ways to tell the parents (not just my own), that actively teaching your children at home, will be far more beneficial than wasting money at private schools. There are already systems in South Africa that allow children from primary school to highschool to be registered under schools and take exams, tests, presentations and participate in school events and sports teams while being primarily homeschooled

      We see many people claim their land back ,wht they do is turn the farm lands into residential or no farming is continuing, others hold land because of its intrinsic value but they are not creating value out of it, others claim commercial land only for subsistent farming,nota is taking what’s happening ryt now, and it’s putting pressure on food security which drives prices up, so now they own land but can’t afford food, hence he says land is liability to them, he’s not talking definition of an asset here

    • @lekis5975
      @lekis5975 2 роки тому

      @@mcebosikhakhane7164 if you did your research, then you would find out that during Apartheid, the white farmers received SUBSIDIES to buy fertiliser, farm machinery and seeds) from the State that is why they were able to somewhat thrive.
      Secondly, they exploited Black labour (underpaid Black farm workers, or flat out refused to pay them and overworked them).
      In addition the state also imposed agricultural taarifs making it expensive to import food, subsequently, South Africans had to buy food at high prices to support the local agricultural industry, which was predominantly white.
      Quiet as it's kept most white farmers sold the land, because they were no longer had access to all these benefits.
      Sadly, Black landowners have struggled because they have not received the kind of support that white farmers used to receive under apartheid.
      When the ANC govt came to power, they f found that the Apartheid regime had left the country with a debt of 25 BILLION DOLLARS (the equivalent of 50 BILLION DOLLARS today). The country was essentially broke. The Boers had stolen the money and put in private Swiss accounts, they created favourable Pensions for themselves and they had a run up a big debt from borrowing money so that they could buy ARMS and create chemical and biological weapons to use on Black people as they waged war all over Southern Africa. Not only were SADF and BOSS operating in South Africa, they were also operating in Mozambique, Angola, Namibia,. Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe even in Britain, France and Sweden!).
      Tata had hoped a peaceful transition, would encourage western govts to help South Africa by providing something akin to a MARSHALL PLAN ( the grants that America gave to European countries after World War 2 so that they could re-build their infrastructure (houses, roads, rail, factories) and boost their economy...but no. The ANC was told they had to pay back the debt and they received nothing, not even inward foreign investment. That is why they had to change the economic agenda.
      There is a lot more going on in South Africa that meets the eye.

    On the issue of gays , you can call me homophobic or anything you want but the fact is as Africans we all know that we don’t have a history of same sex relationships especially with males, I know a lot of fathers who got heart attacks & strokes because their sons were gay, this should teach us something.
    But since such stuff have been created in our society, I hold up the view that everyone including gays should have their rights.

      Not necessarily. In Kenya, people are obsessed with buying an 1/8th of an acre (40ft x 80 ft) and then leaving it to fallow, in the hope that 10 to 20 years time the land will have gone up in value to flip. Meantime, this land is in far flung places with no access to amenities, water, electricity etc *zero value*.
      I wholly concur that land is valuable, but you have to know what to do with it. Sadly, most of us don't know what to do with it. We have forgotten how to work with our hands, because of our obsession with class based education.

      Yo are the foolish one then why are Zimbabweans all over wanting to be citizens of other countries. They took land but did it work some of them stripped copper pipes , broke machinery etc. Land is beyond your uneducated rhetoric, blacks when they were forcefully removed they became city dwellers. That means they will have to educated on advanced farming than just giving subsistence farmers land.
