    Dear Harry
What I'm missing or may have missed in your video is that you have to update your transmitter first before you want to use the Jeti Mezon Evo.
It didn't work for me to set up the Jeti Mezon Evo, but now it did after I updated the DS-14.
    But still love your videos.

It is true for every new device, it's just a given. The update that covers the Evo came out a while ago

Thank you Harry as always a clear and very useful explanation of how to use this.

Hi Harry,Thanks for the video on the Mezon all your your videos are a great help,
Can you please advise on how I can get the new Mezon 120 I have purchased to show up in the Device Explorer,
I am using a DS24 and I have tried various rx and central boxes all are updated to latest versions but none show the Mezon
in Device Explorer so I cant set up the Mezon in the way you have shown in this video,
    Many thanks Harry , Ray

Hi Ray, The Mezon will not, it is an older design. Only the discontinued Pro and its replacement the Evo will be in Device Explorer. The plain Mezon can only be programmed in jetibox.

Love my Mezon pros. These new esc look nice. My only disappointment is they’ve still got a mechanical switch for the bec. Thought they might have added a mag switch instead.

Thanks Harry for another great helpful video. I'm using the same Mezon Evo with an Assist rx and I'm noticing that occasionally the rx doesn't give out the usual boot alarms "initialised" and "armed" on the tx. Every other Assist rx that I use gives these alarms 100% during bootup, but for some reason this seems different when connected to the Mezon Evo. Sometimes I get both alarms, but occasionally one of them is missing. Just wondered if you had any similar experience? I'm a little worried the rx is not booting correctly but its proving difficult to confirm exactly what is happening because the problem is so intermittent e.g. the rx has booted with both alarms sounding when I've tried it on a different power supply, or on the Mezon Evo without the telemetry cable plugged in, but then sometimes its ok anyway on the Mezon Evo with telemetry plugged in! I've also tried various combinations of the BEC switch on/off when I connect the flight pack, but again the problem is so intermittent that I'm not able to confirm this makes any difference.

If it says "initialised" and then the controls work it is okay. Sometimes the word "armed" gets delayed in the queue of things being said and done and then is not spoken.

@@cotswoldpilot Thanks Harry. More often than not its the "initialised" alarm that is missing (but controls appear to work ok including the gyro response), but sometimes its the "armed" instead. I'm sure this has NEVER happened on my other 6 assist rx's over 4 years of using them - so i'm thinking there is either something going on with the Evo's telemetry that is interfering with the rx alarms, OR ive got a faulty rx! BTW, I've been looking at the telemetry logs in JETI studio and I cant see any overlapping alarms (which was how JETI support answered my query about this - saying there may be overlapping alarms with higher priority). I'll do some more testing, probably swapping some rx's around.

And one more thing about motor poles, I fly a lot of quads as well, in the latest versions of Betaflight you have an RPM filter, there you have to enter the number of poles in the motor, if you don't know that, then the recommendation is to count the number of magnets in it and enter it. Shouldn't it work here too ??

Hi Harry great video, I was looking at the specs for the Mezon EVO and the Pro and I cannot see much in it, I am looking at a Mezon Pro 55 which should be good for approaching 2kw on 10S. What's the difference between the Pro and the EVO?

    • @cotswoldpilot
      @cotswoldpilot  2 роки тому +1

Big differences are the mounting brackets, setup wizard, F3A mode, plus some other things.

@@cotswoldpilot looks like they can both be programmed via Tx, and have the same telem items

Hi thanks for another great video, I have a Fms extra 330 with a 90 Amp Esc the engine runs fine, except at full throttle, then there is a very strange humming noise in it, suspect the timing is wrong in it. Can't find any manual online for that Esc so I can adjust the timing.
So I'm strongly considering buying a Mezon 90 A EVO for it, but when looking in the log file for the MUI200, the max is p 93.9 Amp for a few seconds and can't find in the specs for the Mezon how much overload it can handle for a short while , normally it says x Amp for y seconds.
So my question is, is the Mezon 90 A enough or should I choose a larger one?

Evo is max 80A with BEC or 85A opto. Plain Mezons are made at higher amps but may not be in stock due to component shortages.
