- After enjoying a fine start to the new season, Australian icon Nick Kyrgios has shared he will return home to Australia and will therefore miss this year’s French Open for the fifth successive year.
In January, Kyrgios won the Australian Open doubles title alongside close friend Thanasi Kokkinakis, before then reaching the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Masters where he lost to 21-time Grand Slam legend and eventual finalist Rafael Nadal.
Kyrgios then delivered a number of professional and focused performances at the Miami Open but lost to 20-year-old Italian prospect Jannik Sinner.
With the clay-court season getting underway this week, Kyrgios will compete at the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships in Houston, USA but will then return to Australia to recoup with his family.

Couldn’t watch till the end. Who won?
@Toby Lister everybody wants to fight over who the goat is. We all know the proper goat. Tennis.
Sometimes the fore hands takebacks are close to the body and sometimes far away.
What's with the holding hands drill on the other court?
I'm purely guessing here, I think it's a double's drill, to train the player's mentality to always follow the ball regardless of where you are on the court, as many recreational level players tend to just stay where they are and wait for the ball to come to them to move at all.
Go Alex K, you can keep up with the best!
Thank you!!
