- This is a simple macrame wall hanging, which is perfect for a beginner to macrame. In this step-by-step macrame tutorial, you will learn how to make the double half hitch knot and also my trick to make them super straight. This wall hanging is a unique design which combines straight double half hitches and wave like double half hitch knots. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. MATERIALS:
4mm 3ply twisted cord.
Cut Lengths:
14 @ 4 meters
1 @ 8 meters

Lovely clear instructions but I would have left it vertical just as you had made it-attaching the cords to your piece of driftwood to start - it would hang better and look much nicer I believe?! Not sure why you hung it the other way??! Thanks for sharing 🙏😊👍

I did the horizontal as another way to create unique macrame designs. I think the beauty of tutorials is to take the idea and give it your own spin so I would definitely do yours vertical! I like it vertical too.

I made a quite complicated biggish one as a wedding gift which was well appreciated🥰
