It's also notable that this list does not include any of the secret cars of Gran Turismo 2, such as the CLK Race Car and HKS drag cars...

wow I never knew GT2 had so many sweet cars. these definetly should return.
silvergbasp13 the Dodge Stratus was basically the Lethal Joke car. in stock form it was garbage, a 100hp 2.5L V6 in a car that weighed almost 4,000 lbs. after you threw money at it and a stage 3 turbo, plus some tuning, and you had a front-wheel-drive econo-box sedan that could smoke a Viper without a second thought.

No way dude, the Espace F1, Elise GT1, Phaeton, Cultus Pikes Peak, Vectors and Venturi's are nowhere near as cool as that Skyline with a certain special purple paint. :P

The DB6 would be awesome as well as the 740i and 840ci! Incredible that they once featured the Vector W8. The RT/10 would be nice again and the Espace F1 is mental.
In general I think they have way to few normal road cars, which I personally really enjoy to get the most out of.
Taeivon FTO should return - it was a car of choice for those who want to run an under 400 hp race car, which makes it popular for speedrunning the under 394hp races in gt2
This is the car I loved to use on really difficult tracks.
I believe that GT2 is probably the best gt game ever, until gt5 & 6 come out. it have an insane content that is fabulous for that time in a tiny ps1 console and you need a years to properly explore it(I found that it is impossible btw) love the list cause it backs me to a good old days when I played it and there is far more good cars that is possible to put in a list of 40. love this list but maybe you could make a second list to just mention an other great cars this game has such as cerberas, cobras and mazdas rx7 from mazdaspeed etc...
I agree that GT2 is the best all-round game so far. As far as including more cars in the list, I did want to, but I no longer have my original GT2 save, and I don't have the time to play through it again and unlock those secret and RM cars.
I think that GT4 is superb too.

I saved it cause there is a limit of 100 cars in garage so when I ended the game I copied the file from one card to another and get the rest of the cars either modified or racing versions with different setup! funny isnt it....

M8 ,Espirit GT1 and S2000 GT1 were seriously best value for money in GT2 and I'm glad you included them :D
Thank you so much for including the Plymouth Belvedere GTX. Easily my most loved car of GT2, I even love the rather odd 3 speed gearbox that feels like it's going from 1st, to 2nd and into 4th

If i was to add some i would add the Tom's angel T01, Nissan skyline R30 silhouette formula, VW new beetle GT, R33 drag and the 180SX drag.
Hell i might as well say all the cars that aren't in GT6 that are in GT2.

For sure! I would have liked to have included those too, but my game save for GT2 is far too basic, since I don't have a PS1 anymore and started it again on PS3.

Oh cool. my ps1 broke years ago. wasn't able to play gt2 for years until i decided to pit it in a ps3 to see what would happen. I don think I've ever been so happy to see a loading screen in my life. 😂
Absolutely, same here. I just wish there were cheats for GT2, since I don't have the time to play through it all again, but I'd love to review the awesome cars on there.

there was a modified Nissan Silvia that could be won in GT-2. I forgot it's name, but it served me well.

I totally agree with this list, and also I've some addictional info:
-The road version of the GT-One also retuned to GT3 as an unlockable car (with a 25% chance to win from a specific championship). It a shame it didn't returned to GT4 and onward.
-Another car which deserved to the return is the BMW 328CI: It was included in GT2 and GT3 (where it was the only BMW available), but strangely wasn't retained for GT4.
-While it's a shame that the rally version of the Mini Cooper didn't returned (only the road version did), actually a rally version of the 2002 model with a livery similar to the classic one can be found hidden in GT Concept, but it was unfortunately scrapped and never returned again.
Ahh the memories, the nostalgia... I miss playing GT2, and GT4 is always a classic.

Very nice. I've replicated those on GT6 with the Stingray's that we still have. I'd love to see the '69 Camaro ZL1 make it in too (not from GT2 though obviously).
i haven't started watching as yet but i hope the HKS drag and the Interceptor MKII is here so lets go see...thanks and another great effort let me not forget the Renault Espace a 700HP mini bus
The 1995 ish GTO Twin Turbo aka gt3000 from GT1, it was yellow or green with white Castrol livery, i loved that car...

And also the black castrol Toyota Supra and the race spec Supra which had a blue stripe along the side which also had yellow headlight covers and the last car is also a Supra it is the Japanese touring car version which was sponsored by Esso which features the tiger on it

One car I'd like to see come back would be the N15 VZ-R Pulsar, a real weapon on the circuit, and my real world baby!

Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car - 15k rev. That was amazing. Also there was a Toyota Celica racing car which was really quick in its class.
This is a very well made and informative video, well done good sir. Though i'm curious, Which version of gran turismo 2 do you have? i still have my actual cd(UCUS 944) and still play it from time to time Via emulator cause my PSOne broke last april after 15 years of service (2001-2016) cause it looks a bit clearer and the engine/drive wheel layout icons are a more detailed.
I'm not sure which version I have, but I play mine on PS3.

Great cars but I'd like to see PD include a few older iconic muscle cars and some ordinary everyday cars that you see in any shopping centre car park. They're always good fun, especially after you hot them up and race them against BMW's , etc
The Mini Monte Carlo was featured on Gran turismo Concept.
Also the EK4 Hatch, EK4 Ferio, AE86 race cars, Peugeot 406 sedan and some others..
In my honest opinion, the upcoming gran turismo games should get rid of the tons of non-premium versions of japanese cars(S2000, skylines, evos etc) and add more classic models from different car manufacturers like jaguar and aston martin. They could easily have 1 S2000 model and not 20. What they should also do is record the real engine/exhaust sounds of the car and not make them up in the computer and also make some cars like the toyota supra (!!!!!!) a premium model.
Nissan 300ZX-GTS GT '97? The shear history the car had in IMSA is a good enough reason for it to return.
bro good video as always. can you do this for GT3?? GT3 was my favourite game and I still play it. from gt3 I think the fto LM and altezza LM should return they were tunable to able 1100hp to take on LMPs.
The Skyline Silhouette from GT2 needs to return. It is iconic, exceptionally fast even when stock, and looks unbelievably badass.

The Falcon XR6 was amazing, but i would like to see more volvo cars and underrated supercars like Ascari A10 or Ferrari F50 and 550 Maranello

You forgot the Mazda Autozam AZ-1 and the Mazda Demio A-Spec and I can't believe you actually said the said that the Venturi Atlantique 400 GT is a far cooler vehicle then the Ferrari F40, I like that car too but not that much browie!
I'd add the Eunos Cosmo 20B as well, I loved that car in GT2. Three rotors ftw.

Love these videos being a Gran Turismo fan myself! You forgot one very important car however the Nissan HKS drag 180sx! (fastest car in gt2 by a mile)
Yeah there were a number of cars which I didn't feature purely because when I made this video I didn't have a save for the game with those cars to show them, and didn't feel like using google images.
The gtx would've been an awesome addition same with the m12 I wanna see all the old cars again I've heard around from people on 6 that they won't have 75% of the cars that are on 6 on the newest one

I believe these cars like the TVR's and the Venturi's should be hot wheels cars in the Gran Turismo sets. I find it to be an appropriate way to celebrate 25 years of Gran Turismo. Who wouldn't want a 1/64 playable doecast of these cars?
I think that the "Racing Modification" option for cars should get implemented again. It got lost since Gt2, and I miss it.

Killermickey When GT5 came out, and PD jumped from the PS2 to the PS3, PD took the "Ill do it later" approach. Many cars in Gt5 are actually PS2 models! Then GT6 came out, and the same thing happened. Now, GTS is coming with very few cars, as many have become severely outdated. Hopefully the new models are released post launch, for free.
Killermickey That's exactly what I've been saying for years. If they'd stop wasting creative space on JDM porn of the same cars, and track layout filler of full circuits, they could have all cars new and old, as well as all full tracks,
road/rally new and old, of full circuits, then if there's any room for filler, that's when you bring on the variable tracks and trim level package cars. LOL. I'm gonna go to school and develop my own sim, for the people.

Killermickey Licensing issue. Brands like Vector doesn't even exist anymore, and Venturi is Obscure. There are so many weird cars in GT2 that will be impossible to license nowadays.
personnally, I would add the 1998 Toyota TS020 GT-One(the "tigered" livery number 27) and the Honda Civic EK4(Honda Civic VTI hatchback version). for the Vector M12 in GT6, I used the Cizeta Moroder V16T with a wing and used the same suspension, gearbox, power and weight settings in GT2. good alternative but not perfect, I agree lol

And all of GT2 Tracks are awesome, I wish they bring some tracks back, especially *Rome Night* (GT2) and *Special Stage Route 11* (GT1 and GT3) It's really fun drives on both tracks.

I'm looking forward to seeing how fast the N2025 and Bugatti VGT can be. Apart from that there haven't really been any that jump out to me. I'm interested to see how good the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be too.

We already have the Toyota GT-ONE race car but the road version must be very cool
There are actually 3 GT-ones in GT 2; race car '98, the reappearing race car '99, and finally the road car( the most powerful of all the three with +900hp fully tuned and the only car in the game which has ever got close to the escudo in terms of horse power)

Bruh, I think this is my second time watching this. I want to play GT2 all over again from scratch now. I still have two memory cards full of cars and money as well. I miss all the rally tracks from 2,3,& 4. Polyphony needs to bring back the licensed full race model RM option too. They should also re-release Tourist Trophy TT on PS4 remastered. GT Sport isn't even a full-bodied game. I've lost all faith in Polyphony's ability to cater to their clientele/fanbase. Hello Turn 10, here I come, reluctantly. Lmao 😂

It was indeed, and the HKS R33 as well. The reason why I didn't include those is because my game save for GT2 is very basic since I now play it on PS3.

I honestly dont know why PD got rid of all of these great cars. ESPECIALLY the toyota gt1 road car. The r390 road car and gt40 road car are both syill in the game.
