Nice list! Hurts to see my main man Barlow not in the top ten haha. I have been thinking of making a similar list but mine would be quite different and I have a lot of the lesser known ones on there: 10. Gramma (Gramma) 9. Cujo (Cujo) 8. Brady Hartsfield (Mr. Mercedes) 7. The Cat/Gage Creed (Pet Sematary 6. Wilfred James (1922) 5. Leatherheads (Under the Dome) 4. Kurt Barlow (Salem's Lot) 3. Mother (Revival) 2. Big Jim Rennie (Under the Dome) 1. Andre Linoge (Storm of the Century)
Just getting into the second part of the Stand and Randall Flagg is very intriguing - how he gets into everyone's dreams to different levels, how he seemed to come with the tornado and join them in the darkness of the cellar. His chapters are really well written, he's much like Lorne Malvo in Fargo, Palpatine or Leeland Gaunt, he can see the dark seed in a person to exploit, and it's fun for him. I've been looking forward to finding out what his deal is since I heard (in vague detail) how major an antagonist of the Stephen King Mythos, and how he was conceived in a stirring poem - the Dark Man - King wrote when he was in school - I found that poem on youtube and transcribed it into my copy of the Stand.
Excellent video Jake! I agree about Jack Torrance, though I kind of see the hotel as the main villain. Hated the movie. 😂😂 Except for Nicholson’s performance, which was brilliant. Kurt Barlow is a top for me. Annie Wilkes for sure, though I still need to read the book.
Nice list! I prefer to think of the Outlook Hotel as the real villain Also think Mr Mercedes was a really good villain but then King ruined him in the 3rd book 😂
@BookishDrummer Haha I have been looking for it for the past 6 months at my local bookstore and no one has donated it. I may need to check out pango or something else
Here's my picks Christine Big jim Norman from rose madder Pennywise Leland gaunt Randall flagg The crimson king Annie wilkes Jack torrence Rose the hat Greg stillson
@ ah.. I get it. Hard to beat the supernatural ones or the over the top crazies like Annie. But Annie was so crazy that I don’t think she knew right from wrong. Jim did and ohhh how I love to hate his character. Ardelia Lortz is my favorite supernatural evil character besides the Overlook Hotel. So many good villains though. Although Annie is not my favorite supernatural evil, Misery is one of his best written books imo.

Greg Stillson is underrated
@@johnyarrow6100 he’s great as well! But he’s not the main reason I love the dead zone

@@TheEmeraldSword86 interesting top 3!
@@BookishDrummer please know that this list overlaps with my "scariest Stephen King villians" list, so just keep that in mind.
