@@paddington1670 No, *popular is NOT the same good.* Esp. when much of your popularity is for the wrong reasons. Look, I got to know Ford. Comparisons to Trump are wrong. For one he really was not racist. He was quite honest, and he actually cared. The fundamental problem was that he was _not_ a city dweller, but a suburbanite. He was a big fan of cars, when there is no more room for cars in the city. Toronto, like New York or London, can only function because of public transport and other alternatives to one car per commuter.
I have watched Toronto's public transit, once one of the best in the world, stagnate. For comparison, in that time Warsaw built a subway and then expanded it. It's a bit hard to take when a country that started with nothing but a huge debt as it managed to crawl out of the Soviet bloc in 1989, now have better public transport, high speed trains, and other great infrastructure projects even though it is still quite a way behind Canada in GDP and has also need to spend more on defense. I'm just trying to say that *we can do better.*

Its leader, Jarosław Kaczyński is single-handedly ruining polish democracy. The mayor of Warsaw - Trzaskowski, was his biggest opponent in the 2020 presidential election, as Kaczynski has heavy influence on president Duda. If you dig deeper into Poland as a country, there's a television that spreads propaganda (TVP) that was/is being ran by one of Kaczyński's people. Poland deserves recognition. While the rest of NATO had, until recently, struggled to meet its military spending commitments, 2% of GDP, Poland has spent a whopping 5% of GDP, much of which has gone directly to Ukraine, whom they see as fighting the war that they would be fighting now, had Kiev fallen. And they’re right. And it was right that the US President recognised that by delivering this important speech from there and, as this reporter pointed out, not from Paris, London or Berlin, but Warsaw.

Polish President was the first to visit Kijów, polish ambassador was the only one who stayed in the capital during the invasion. We are also relable ally of US taking huge part in Iraq and Afghanistan wars and spending more than 2% of GPD on the army, it will be almost 4% next years making us the strongest land army in Europe by buying hundreds of Abrams and K2 tanks, HIMARS and other artillery, also dozens of modern figher jets in upcoming years. To this day, many make jokes about Poles and tell jokes about stupid Poles ... no one in the USA thought that poor people who were murdered by the Germans and Soviets were fleeing from Poland. The Germans and the Soviets first murdered the Polish intelligentsia, doctors, officers, professors. Many who managed to escape with one mug and a backpack were not spared contempt in the USA. Ordinary simple people, hardworking peasants who had everything burnt down. After the war, when all of Western Europe enjoyed freedom, Poles found themselves under the Russian zone. Do you know what happened when Poles overthrew communism in the middle of Europe? For 30 years they have become a power in the EU. Poles speak many languages. Perhaps trzaskowski can speak a foreign language but he definitely does not speak to Polish people as he is the worst Warsaw city mayor we ever had. Incompetent, lazy, and protecting criminals. Polish Government is enormously helping Ukraine, but mayor trzaskowski has nothing to do with Polish Government, as he is from political party "Civic Platform", which is financed by germany and has a very bad reputation in Poland because of the anti-polish and pro-putin politics. trzaskowski is the worst and most incompetent mayor we ever had in Warsaw, it is a disgrace that he is using Ukrainian War Refugees to make political career. Warsaw citizens are furious about his lack of management skills. He will never ever be elected to any responsible positions!!! Poland is doing fantastic under PIS government in terms of growing economy and enormous help provided by Polish Government to Ukraine. The President of USA Joe Biden has already, within 12 months, twice visited Poland and met with President Duda and Prime Minister Morawiecki, omitting widely paris and berlin, and spending 10 seconds to meet mayor czaskoski, who was begging for this meeting!

For those commenting on his English, this gentleman went to secondary school at Cranbrook Kingswood Preparatory Academy in Bloomfield Hills, MI, one of the most elite high schools in the Midwest and possibly the country. He also went to Oxford and was an English teacher in Poland before becoming a politician. He is especially well educated, but as someone who has lived in two cities with a significant Polish diaspora, many Polish people speak excellent English (as well as third and fourth languages).

For those Polish Nationalists who love their Polish People and their Nation of Polish People -
      C K P A - is a Zyd schul, Zydagogue, for Zyd.
Well educated to never work in his life and promote 447 for future Polin.
Do not confuse Zyd who lived in Slavic Poland with Polish People - Slavia
      traitors and Polish Nationalists

As a Pole, I'm really happy to see Warsaw's president represent us so well. If I wouldn't know him I would say that English is his first language. Apart from language, he's speaking what I'm thinking and that's very rare for politicians. Hope he'll run for president in the next election. Greetings from Wrocław ; )
