    What I think is crazy is that being the huge car guy that I am, and that these have been out for nearly 3 years. I have yet to see a single one on the road. But that will be changing soon, as I will be leasing one starting in 5 weeks.

    Nice, well done video. Glad to hear you're still so positive about the R1. And that your friend purchased an S in the same color/wheel combination. Says a lot about how attractive the green/black combo is imo. I recently spotted a T with the same green/20 blacks pairing and was so blown away by how great it looked I changed my glacier white preorder to your config. Still considering how over-green the forest edge interior might pair, but that too seems to get largely positive reviews online. Thanks for the great review.

    • @TechTesla
      @TechTesla  Рік тому

      Without TeslaFi there's no easy way to see that, I also switched to 20-inch tires for winter which definitely hit range. But like all EVs, it's air density and wind resistance that are your biggest enemy and that increases with lower temperatures and higher speeds.

    • @TechTesla

    • @TechTesla

      They don't fit the 20s, thought I did get the socks on them after some effort at one point when I couldn't even drive or walk on a slippery driveway...in that case they gave it a bit more as needed. The problem with all of them is you need to install them as needed and used at very slow speeds. I plan to get real snow tires next year, possibly studs

    Those all-terrain tires just can’t hack it in snow. They’re the wrong compound. Get yourself some Winter Contacts or Blizzaks or Nokkians. Pretending that A/Ts and all-seasons can handle real snow is a dangerous lie from vehicle manufacturers. I wish they’d give an actual factory option for snow tires over the trail-oriented A/Ts.
