The cab wiring and rear suspension dated castings lead me to believe it is a Wartime WD vehicle. Is 1948, in fact, the date it was registered after WD disposal sale?

A rare beast to survive. Last one I saw working was 1981. I hope the truck and stationary engine find a good home in preservation.
WW2 status could help with the sale.
