Thank you so much for this video…I’m trying to figure out how to make the gold filled beaded wire necklaces and I believe this is the “finish and clasp technique” I should be using… this was the easiest to understand instructional video I’ve found and I am grateful.
Great tutorial. I was doing it all wrong by just flattening the crimp tubes. I don’t understand what you meant by the last step of rounding though. Could you please clarify?
Hello, I love your video! I'm just starting out making bracelets as a hobby but I'm confused with the sizes to get. What's the perfect wire size for a 3mm bead?
Some wire tells you on the front of the packaging what size crimp beads/tubes to use.....If you look at the wire packaging in the video, you'll see the #1 size for crimp beads and #2 size for crimp tubes. Freeze the video at 15 seconds and look on each side of the upc symbol. I know it's late, but hope that helps!
am having problems with my crimping tube and crimp bead falling to pieces when trying to crimp them. I have used different brands and types. I even had them fall apart when they were gold. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. If I squeeze lighter they don't bend. What is a good brand and type that won't break apart? I would like to use them for making bracelets. Ty
Same things been happening to me. I'm using a bigger size barrel like tube bead so that 4 pieces of wire can go back through when I'm securing it and they fall apart and don't crush right and I've done it like 5 times so far. Very annoying.
Great video! There's a different kind of crimp though that I'm trying to learn how to use properly. It's the one where after you put the elastic string in it, "make a loop" with the string , you have to fold the left side in and right side in to secure it. Do you know which one I'm talking about?
What I want to know if you can help me or not but it seems when I'm crimping the crimp seems to move on me when I try to do the second step and I can't figure out why then the crimp is not tight enough I pull on it and the wire comes out I do it so much I just can' figure it out, Please help if you can, Thanks!
Hi when I try the first step nothing happens as if the tube is too small for the crimp tool. I’m using the exact tool and tubes that you are. Is there a reason why nothing is happening?
Hi I’m new to making jewelry. I’m trying to make mask beads necklaces, but when I’m trying to put the crimp tube at the end I keep breaking the crimp tube I’m using the stretch elastic and I do have the crimp tool. Can you please help me and tell me what I’m doing wrong? TIA
I dunno. All these complaints about the music in the video... just turn the sound off and watch what she’s doing. Perfectly clear. It’s not brain surgery - and might I add that many surgeons listen to music in the operating room 😉
Agreed. People should be kinder when making suggestions about a video that someone made for the purpose of sharing and helping. But saying "it's not brain surgery" isn't particularly charitable either. In fact it's rather insulting to people who came here to learn something that you have apparently already grasped. Turning the sound off and missing the verbal explanations isn't a helpful suggestion, especially to those who might not be sighted and rely on verbal descriptions to learn things from the Internet. Though many surgeons might listen to music in the operating room, I'm sure there are many who do not.
These DO NOT work with 2-3mm beads. The tool holes are too big for the smallest crimp beads. Waste of my money! Unbelievable!!! Why make a tool and put it to market if it doesn’t work?
Hey I was curious if you were serious earlier today, on Jason Shurkas Live Video. About possibly helping people like myself (that can't afford a ticket) to get me a ticket to The Transformation Event? If so, I would be extremely grateful. If not. It's absolutely okay.
No she doesn't appear to. It sounds and looks so easy when the pros do it. No matter how careful I am and how thoroughly I check each step if I give my stretch cord a tug, out it comes. Some of the other beaders do answer questions promptly. Search what you want and ask one of them. 🙂
This would be so, so much better without the music so that I could really hear the directions. I don't watch these for music. I watch to learn more about making beaded jewelry.
No worries ladies - the music has been turned down haha! In earlier video, the youtube music levels mix was messed up, so it ended up being louder on some people's computers. You should have this problem moving forward. Thanks for your feedback!
@@beadalon I've made a woven leather anklet with 2 strands of 3 different colors, so I have 6 strands to crimp, or any suggestion how I should "finish" it. I bought lobster clasps which have a larger size (for the strands to go through); my questions would be what size crimp (or which method) I should use.
Hello friends. Out of the blue and only 14k gold crimp tubes 👀🫣🙄 I started to experience breakage of Beadalon Supplemax right after I crimp the tube 😫 the cord that is literally unbreakable just fell off twice on me 😩 any ideas what can I be doing wrong? Thank you so much for your help with this
Oh boy! I have been doing this all wrong. I am soooo glad I found you
Great instructions and simple to follow. I too had been doing it backwards. Thanks

I understood your instructions (I know, the music) and the close-ups are really excellent!
Great! Glad these instructions could help!

I would like to know too

Are there different crimp tool sizes too?
My crimp tubes keep snapping in half when I use my tool 😫
If you are using cheap or very thin crimp bead, that can happen (as I learned the hard way!)
OMgoodness, I have been doing this backwards for years.
Me too. The last video I watched showed it opposite of this.
Just so it works. If they still hold, you’re doing what works for you.
I loved your tutorial.
Just nice simple and perfect! Thanks 🏆

I was flattening mine out like a pancake 😭😭
Thank you for your video! You explained a lot!
which crimp it is????
Helpful video. It was a bit difficult to hear due to the music. Thanks for this tutorial.

THATS NOT CRIMPING ITS CALLED THE SURGEONS KNOT. PEOPLE NORMALLY USED IT WHEN MAKING BEADS ON ELASTIC CORD. ITS DIFFERENT.
Love this!! Thank you!
could you add a video how to attach wire to chain extender? could i just attach the extender to my wire guard?
Really, why do some videos I've seen, use the plier on it's back? Is it ok that ive been using it the top way around all this time? x
She’s doing an extra step from all the others I’ve seen
Hi! Can you please kindly tell me what size is your clasp? Thank you very for your reply
Do u cut the excess wire off or no? Just beads go over it?
What I want to know if you can help me or not but it seems when I'm crimping the crimp seems to move on me when I try to do the second step and I can't figure out why then the crimp is not tight enough I pull on it and the wire comes out I do it so much I just can' figure it out, Please help if you can, Thanks!

I am having the same issue. Crimp Bead is the same size as the hole in the crimper and doesn’t shape anything
There are small crimp pliers (for 1 mm crimps) and big pliers (for 2 mm crimps).

Why are my crimp tubes and beads falling apart as I try to crimp them? I have used different brands. Any reccomendations?
I've had that problem when I used crimp beads that were too big.
Thanks for the video
Excellent video
how do u put those lobsters thing and the round thing on a string
I wonder if the music could be any louder
Thx
Try as I might, I cannot tell if the wire is crossed or not.
Thank you so much
lol no wonder my necklace came apart, I was crimping wrong😭🤣
What happens if they cross and you crimp
Why is it so hard? I have the round crimp ones.

I'm a metal fabricator and I like the background music. People will look for any to complain about.
TFS
Can’t listen to someone speaking while background music is playing.
Emily Keenan Smith Movies with soundtracks must be hell for you...

Need to be close up.
Nope still can't do it
Every video I have seen does it backwards
I find it easier just to crimp it with flat nose players who has time for this technique no offence
Same.
Too much music and your out of screen at some points.
I guess she never answers anyone's questions in the comment section🙄

I don’t think it looks complete without a wire guardian!!
We love wire guardians too!!!

No matter how i do it, and whatever crimp bead i use, they brake 😢🫣
Thank you
